My husband has been at Shenandoah Senior Living for about 7 months now. It has been a good experience, so far. The staff they have is very good. My husband has his own room and a shared bathroom. It's a medium-sized room with a bed, a LA-Z-Boy chair, and a dresser. The atmosphere is nice. They have a lot of puzzle setup around the area and other little things that they can do. They also get to interact with one another. The food is good and it has a nice variety. The dining area is beautiful, with nice views. They have sitting areas in nice sunrooms and they have outside spaces where they can sit and enjoy the nice weather.

Shenandoah Senior Living is in a beautiful location with the mountains in the background and overlooking the vineyard. It was a lovely setting. We had a lovely guide, who took a lot of time with us. She showed us different rooms and different parts of the place. We went into the dining room and ten of the residents were there. It was a very comfortable and friendly place. They had a piano and a beautiful patio overlooking the mountains and the vineyards. It seemed like a very relaxed and welcoming place. They had a mini refrigerator in the room. They were in the process of switching over from someone who had been there.

My mom moved into Shenandoah Senior Living. They have a nice staff. It's an older building, but it's well-kept and well-maintained. The place is pretty clean. They've got bingo, game nights, and once in a while, they'll go on trips.

Looked at this facility for my 86 year old aunt. Very pleased with rooms and staff. Decided this was the right place after a virtual tour. Visited facility to set up my aunt’s room. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Beautiful location.

My mother lived in Shenandoah Senior Living before she passed. It was wonderful. Everything was great, from the nurses, to the food, the caregiving, and her apartment. They offered everything from physical therapy to doing her hair. She needed assistance with showering, and they did everything for her. It was open, cleaner, and nicer than the others.

This facility is obviously under new management. I visited six months ago and the changes are monumental! I volunteer here as often as I can and I see new staff in place that actually smile when you walk in! The front desk person has always been nice, but beyond that, it used to be cold. Now, the new boss, new communities manager, new activities, etc., could not be warmer. They make me believe that they actually care for their residents. Can't wait to see what happens in a year!

We chose Shenandoah Senior Living for my client. It's small and mostly assisted living. They also have some memory care. The reason that I chose it was mostly because of its atmosphere. It seemed to be pretty on the ball in terms of care, but she's not the kind of person who wants to dress for dinner. It has an absolutely gorgeous view. Part of what I was looking for in an apartment was it didn't need to be too big, but it needed to feel like an actual apartment. It's been in transition management wise. The food is not the best thing in the world, but she's not somebody who's particularly concerned about that. For somebody who is a foodie, it's not the place to go. They have an absolutely stunning dining room. It looks out on a very nice view of a mountain and cattle farm. It has some really nice sunrooms as well. The facility is very pretty. It's has a brick facade, and it's nice inside. They have a TV room, a nice craft room, and physical therapists. For activities, my client is not an easy one to get involved and they have not been particularly successful in getting her involved, but they told me that they were getting a new activities director.

I came to this community and was amazed at the staff and their sincere concern and care for the residents in spite of challenges they face. The new management company is excited to do a complete refresh on the community while keeping the amazing staff and honoring the history here.

Shenandoah was nice and had huge areas and a great dining area. The director said they had been through a bit of a hard spot, and you could tell they still have ways to go. They were not even at half the capacity. Their apartments were fantastic, huge, and had one bedroom, a kitchenette, bedroom, and bathroom. As they stand right now, I would not put my mom there, and the residents were not interactive.

Loving Arms seemed nice, it had pretty good views, and it seemed like the staff was attentive, cared, and seemed to address the patients' issues well. The rooms were pretty decent, seemed adequate for the time they spend there, they don't really spend a whole lot of time in their room, but for a room, it's pretty nice and seems adequate enough for serving them. They could use a few more activities. Right now, they do have some, they do take them on field trips from time to time, and it would be nice to see them do a little more than what they do now. Even activities on the weekend, doesn't seem to be a lot on the weekend, but it does seem like they at least try to do some stuff with them. The food seems alright, food seems good, my grandmother seems happy with it, seems like it's okay with her. She has her preferences on things, and when she wants other things, they do provide her with other food if she's like it so there's alternate menus which is good. She's in the memory care part of the community.

Loving Arms was good but a little crowded. The staff was very nice. The facility and rooms were a little dated but nice and clean.

My husband was admitted to Loving Arms July 2014. He had been in the hospital for three weeks with an enlarged prostate that blocked the flow of urine which had backed up into his body. He also has A-Fib, rapid heartbeat, congestive heart failure and high blood pressure. He refused to even see a doctor until he got so ill we had to have him admitted. He has dementia and was in very bad shape mentally also. After three weeks in the hospital he was stabilized and after looking at numerous assisted living facilities we decided on Loving Arms. He has a permanent catheter and not all would take him. He has done very well here and looks much better. The staff is very caring and he is always shaved, clean and has his hair cut. He is checked by their doctor and his feet checked by a podiatrist. We are very happy with the care here. Unfortunately the facility (which has been independently owned) is being sold as of 1/9/15 to Meridian Senior Living and I know nothing of them so I don't know what the future will hold. I pray that the same level of care will continue.

Loving Arms was referred to me by a friend. Their care has been good. I never had any complaints. They've been taking care of my mother really well. The staff is nice and professional.

My mom went with Loving arms because it's a ministry. They treated her like a person. We had problems with the previous nursing home where she was at. They gave her a lot of drugs and treated her poorly. Loving Arms took her off the drugs right away. My mother likes it there. She said that the place is good and the staff is taking care of her and that they love her. She's content to be there. She shares a large room with another resident. It's a comfortable room. It has two beds, TV and dressers. They can bring whatever they want. It's more like a home than a clinical place. They have events several times a year where they have the families come and dine together. She loves the food there. Of all the places we've been and seen, I would say that If I had to go, I would go there.

My mother was only in Loving Arms a week before she slipped away. She was so very happy there and the staff could not have been kinder or more loving to her. I will be forever grateful we found Loving Arms for her and that she was cared for beautifully and actually was singing and dancing before she took her nap. Bless you Loving Arms and my eternal gratitude and that of our family.

Loving Arms, located in the quaint town of Front Royal, Virginia is a very basic & affordable nursing facility. Surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Shenandoah Valley provides a welcoming atmosphere, fresh air, and a positive environment for your loved one. Equipped with physical therapy room, Loving Arms provides an onsite physical & occupational therapist five days a week. Other amenities include a salon, lounge with piano, comfortable gathering areas including a patio, and a nice dining room. Another wonderful perk to the Loving Arms community is their on-site, classically trained chef (in cuisine & nutrition) who provides three nutritional & tasty meals a day plus snacks. They also have an electronic integrated care tracking system which insures a high level of care for all residents. Van & bus services are available for single or group outings for the many natural interests that the area has to offer. They also provide daily activities from art classes to custom tailored fitness classes. All in all, Loving Arms although not ornate, is a comfortable community in a beautiful area with many activities & opportunities for your loved one to experience & thrive in.
