Lotus Park Senior Living has a great layout. They are an assisted living facility, but they have buildings for those residents who are still independent. When my grandma would escalate to the point that she needs assisted living, she can move into the main house. It's completely reasonably priced and it gives them options to socialize with the people that they're living in the houses with. The staff is particular about who they placed in what house. It's very clean, organized, and well-run. The food is great, too. It's kind of out in the country, so it's very quiet and peaceful and there's a lot of outdoor seating space which is something my grandma would enjoy. The staff is very friendly and helps people feel like they're part of a family.

The staff here at Lotus Park Senior Living is very attentive. They take care of my needs and the meals they serve are wonderful. It's also convenient to shopping centers, such as Walmart, and they'll even provide me transportation to go over there if I need to. There are several different activities, so it's a very wonderful place to live. I got a very nice apartment. It faces the sun, so I bought myself some blackout curtains and the maintenance man was just right on top of getting over here and getting those hung for me so that I don't have to put up with the sun coming into my room. The facility manager, Tara, is very professional and cares about us as individuals.

What I didn't like about Lotus Park Senior Living was it was like individual little condos, and then they were split up into eight apartments. There was quite a distance between where those places sat, like the main building where you go in for your food and everything. If it's a super hot day out there, you might not feel like walking over to the building, or if it's snowing real bad you might not want to walk over to the building. That's the one thing that I felt was wrong about the Lotus. The people were very friendly. They didn't invite me for lunch, but they gave me a beverage to drink. The staff toured the building with me. It seems like they do a lot out of one large room, and then they just turn that room into anything that they need it to be. I didn't see a room for exercise or a room where they do crafts. It was all done in one large room. The apartments were nice. They were one-bedroom apartments, and they did not have any kitchen facilities in them at all. How they arranged it is there would be four apartments in one section and then to the middle of those was the public area, and then there'd be a full kitchen there that you can use if you want to. The way they set up the apartments wasn't appealing to me at all, to have to share the kitchen and all that for the price. The staff member was very nice. One of the reasons she probably didn't show me around to very many things is she was very pregnant with twins. She was not really in very good shape to do a lot of walking around herself and that was understandable. Otherwise, they were very friendly. Everything was well kept. The biggest difference about Lotus is that it was for mostly assisted living and memory care. I don't think they took into account the people that were moving there just for independent living. It's kind of in the country setting. West Haven is much more in the country area, and it's not as busy. You can go out there in the back fence and the cows that live in the field next door will come up to the back fence to be pet.

My mother is in Lotus Park Senior Living. They have just been very, very nice, accommodating, and helpful to my mom. The staff they have are great. They just need more staff. They're shorthanded just like everywhere else in the world. For the most part, it's well maintained. Her last room was great. The carpet in the room she's in now needs to be either removed or cleaned. We're working on getting it better. The facility itself is beautiful. I know that they're working on upgrades and doing different things to keep it updated. The majority of the staff are very, very nice. My mom is not loving their food. They're not notified of activities very often. I know they lost their activity person, so they're looking to hire. They're very friendly. They try to take the time to get to know the residents themselves. Even though they're low staffed, they try to engage each of the residents and do fun activities. For Father's Day, they did a car show. Over the holiday, they did some fireworks. They had a pie day. They're trying to do different things like that. They're kind of lacking right now, but I know it's just temporary.

We absolutely loved it. We visited the independent living that my mom was interested in. It's like you go into a home which has four different bedrooms and you get your own bedroom and bathroom, but there's a common area. It's kind of like a twin home with a hallway, so there's actually two common areas. It was quite large and really nice. We really liked it. We also liked the people there. I would give the staff the highest rating. This place is what we're looking for because it has independent and assisted living as well. The rooms that are individual bedrooms with bathrooms come in different sizes. Everybody dines together. My mother loves to do quilting, and the staff members said that they can actually accommodate her and set her up with that.

It was beautiful and brand new, but they didn't have one-bedroom apartment options. The staff member was very helpful and gave us the options on what was available. The dining room was nice and spacious. The residents can go out and sit in the living room or they can stay in their room. It's like a little house. The center of the place is the kitchen and living room area.

My father is in here right now. I think they are doing a good job, and the facility is only a couple of years old. Generally speaking, it has been a good experience. The staff is pretty good. They have been really good to my father. I will definitely recommend them to others. They have different crafts that they do. They have an exercise room, and they have television. I know they take them to places. They have apartments, and it is all on one level floor. It is spacious and nice.
