West Fork Village was an independent living facility. We went and saw a two-bedroom duplex and it had a kitchen and a yard. It looked over at the trees, which was really nice, and they had a courtyard that was nice to sit in, too.
I really liked the place. They were playing a game in the lobby when we were there and people were extremely friendly. I just thought that it needed some updating, and that was the only negative. The person that gave the tour was very accommodating and very nice. He'd been there a long time. He knew how to talk and deal with older people, which is important to me. I could tell that people liked him and respected him.

When I got to West Fork Village, Josh toured me around and he was super friendly, super nice, very informative, and explained everything 100 percent. He showed me a one-bedroom and then a studio, and both of them were very nice. It's also nice that you get three meals a day.
They have activities for them. They go out to on field trips, they have bingo, a pool table, and different activities there in the home. The residents I talked to were very friendly. It's just an excellent place. They have four or five different meal selections that you could choose from. It's like a buffet style, but if you do not like what's on the menu, they have a separate menu that you could order from.

West Fork Village was a little bit older than what we had thought it was. There were a few foundation problems. Other than that, it was fine.
The assisted living apartment did not have a stove. You would have to go down to the dining hall for all your meals.
The independent cottages had everything in the kitchen. It had a stove, a refrigerator, washer and dryer, and everything. It was a nice cottage.
Our overall tour experience was good. The staff that I came in contact with were very nice, very cordial, and very helpful. The gentleman that took us on the tour was very nice. The living atmosphere was pleasant, and the residents seemed to be very happy.

My friend will be moving into West Fork Village. She chose it because it was close to where she is already, and she had wanted to live in Irving before. They treat the residents very well. They have a library, a game room, and they take them on trips a couple of times a month. The residents we met seemed very happy. It was very clean. The atmosphere was very friendly. The people were getting along very well and they were treating us and welcoming us very much. My friend went back over there to do an application and she said the people remembered her. A lot of them were calling her by her name. They were welcoming her to hurry up and come back. The staff was very good and very kind. The room was big enough and it had a screened porch that was very big and she liked that. She can sit out there and enjoy the outside without all the bugs and stuff getting to her.

I visited West Fork Village. It was nice and it had buffet dining where you just get your own meals. You pick out what you want, which is right in front of you. I did not taste the food, but I've seen a menu, and you get three meals a day. The staff and everybody were nice. They make you feel comfortable, it has nice atmosphere, and they make you feel welcome. I like the spaces. I have seen a studio room. They have a pool table, they play games, and for entertainment they have happy hour. They can make some more space, more units for people to move in.

West Fork Village was very friendly, easy to access, and clean. The apartment that we visited was nice. In the facility, everything was easily accessible, like the cafeteria, the game room, and the hangout room. It was affordable. The apartment was spacious. It also had views of the outside that I particularly like.
The staff was very accommodating, and kind, and answered all of our questions. They even offered if we wanted to enjoy lunch with some of the residents if we had time to do that. The dining area was nice and huge. It was like a cafeteria style. That day we came, it was on a Friday, so they were having fish. Other than the main meal, they had other selections that you could choose from.
They had a pool table, a game room, and a reading area like a library/seating area. There was another area upstairs, but we didn't go visit that one. When we came in, we didn't have to wait. As soon as we walked in the door, they attended to us right away. They asked if we needed something to drink, and just made sure that we were comfortable before we began the actual tour.

My brother moved into West Fork Village. The pricing was the best, and for the price, he got a two-bedroom. It was a newer facility, it seemed like it was a little newer than some of the other facilities we looked at. They have activities and transportation. I only met two people while I was there. They were nice and helpful. It could have been a little better organized. We had to wait an hour before we could view the room they had available. They seemed to be clean.

West Fork Village was a nice one. It was pretty nice; it looked like a hospital. The rooms were nice and very comfy. It looked like a regular apartment. There was a gentleman there, and he was very helpful. The dining area looked very nice. The food looked good. They had like a little store there, they had a library, they had a movie room, and then they had a room with a TV. It was very clean.

West Fork Village is really nice. We really liked it, and we're definitely discussing moving my mother-in-law into that one. It was very clean. It looks like they really care for their residents. The person who toured us around did really, really good, and he made sure that we didn't have any questions. He made sure to answer anything and everything. He also really cares about the residents, and he just wants them to have the best care possible.
The rooms were about the right size for someone that's needing an independent living place that has lower mobility. They have step-in showers. They have all sorts of accommodations that really make it nice. We did get to see the dining area. It was very big, very nice, and spacious. It was buffet style. They go through and pick what they want. Someone helps them to their table if they can't take their tray by themselves. It looks like they were on top of everything. There wasn't anything that looked like it was broken or anything of that nature. However, the neighborhood around it is sketchy and uncomfortable.

I'm here at West Fork Village. I've been here for over a week now, and it has been very good. I like it. I'm very, very happy. I like everything about it. Everybody's very nice and cordial. They speak to you. They have good activities and the meals are very good. I have nothing at all to complain about. It's just perfectly good. It's like a nice big hotel. The staff is very, very nice and very helpful, always asking if you need anything or can they do anything for you. I'm surprised really. The food has been very, very good. The upkeep is very nice. There are lots of activities and they're busy. There are three different levels and I'm on the third level. I don't think I could find anything better for the price that I pay.

My mother-in-law was in West Fork Village. The staff was extremely caring, and they had, I think, maybe 75-100 residents. It's pretty big. And so if I was to place her on a totem pole, I would place her specifically at close to the bottom of the totem pole for the people that were there, due to circumstances. Because West Park had an independent living and a dependent living, and she went into the dependent inside. But then Mother Nature came with COVID and froze and destroyed the dependent side where they had nurses help and attend to them. So they had to close that down, and so that left us with no place to go because she was not qualified for independent living. And she was at the top of the totem pole there, and so she thought everybody there that she was going to turn into one of them. And so that was uncomfortable on her part. She had nobody at her level for communication back. They allowed us to move her into their independent side, so we had to then provide a healthcare nurse ala carte to support her while she was there. But her health needs were changing and the cost got incredibly higher and that was extremely difficult for us to accomplish that. They were our favorite place, but she grew out of it by declining. The food was extremely good. They had an outside courtyard, a gazebo, and outside tables where you can visit with friends. Outside people come in with entertainment, they had trips with a bus, they had bingo and board games.

I've already chosen a place in the West Fork Village in Irving, Texas. It's an independent living and I moved in yesterday. It's a lovely place and I think I'm going to enjoy it here. They're pet-friendly, which was a major concern of mine. I have not looked at any amenities because of the pandemic and being in quarantine for 7 days. The staff that I've met are very friendly and they go out of their way to try to accommodate you. The food is great too, I'm surprised. I've only been here one day and so there's been no maintenance done yet. They have housekeeping services every week though and it should be very good.
When I moved in yesterday, they were having a watermelon festival and they had a lot of activities planned. I think the value, so far, is very good.

I moved my sister into West Fork Village, and it's very reasonable. It's an older establishment in an older part of town, but on a positive note, it is all the same businesses, schools, and everything as it's been probably for the last ten years. Everybody knows where West Fork Village is in that area. They know what goes on, so I would say it is a very secure neighborhood. It's an older establishment in the town, and the people who live there know that very well. The rent is very reasonable; she has her own little studio apartment. They get all their meals. I think for the most part the food is good, although it is not gourmet. Even at sixty-seven she's one of the younger ones, but the beautiful elderly people are very concerned about each other. It's really a very close community there. There is somebody monitoring the front door, and that's excellent -- that's really good. I would say there's only one staff member who is a little harder to get along with. It's like a moderate home setting. It's not anything gorgeous or elaborate, but for me it's just like my home. It's very comfortable looking, and it's not worn out or anything. It's a place where you can come in and sit down in the living room. There's a piano, and they have a lot of people coming in and playing music. They have wine-and-cheese parties. They always have something going on.

West Fork Village was nice, pleasant, clean, and affordable. The staff was friendly and informative. The rooms were empty. They didn't have anything in there, but they were clean. It's just a standard apartment size room. They had a pool table, arts and crafts, bingo, puzzles, a library, internet, and karaoke.

My sister is at West Fork Village. It is a wonderful atmosphere. The staff is very friendly. She is in a studio apartment that has a screened-in balcony, and there are lots of lights coming into the room. It is very secure. There is a person sitting at the front door twenty-four hours a day making sure nobody comes in. It is a facility in an older neighborhood, so there are a lot of businesses and houses in the area. They have activities. She comes down, and she sits out on the front porch. There is a recreation area, a parlor, a living room, and a piano, and they also have church services twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays. She likes the amenities, the activities, and the different places. It is very clean, too. The price is very reasonable.

West Fork Village is my favorite from the ones I've looked at. It is very nice. I did not get to see a whole lot of it because of Covid, and they can't show a lot of other areas. But the apartment was the biggest, and most attractive and nice. The outside is very nice and well-kept. I saw their lobby and the dining room.

My friend is here, and my overall impression is good. The rooms are really nice, and the people are good and friendly. I met the residents, and they said they liked it there. I heard the food is good and has a lot of choices. They have a pool table, TV, and trips on occasion.
