We toured Bradfield Place. The first thing we experienced was that the staff was very friendly. The director waited on us. He was fairly new to the organization, but he was already very attentive and very knowledgeable. We toured around the facilities, and the first thing my sister said is that it feels like a home. That is really nice. It doesn't feel like a facility, it feels like a home. When we first walked in it, it looked small and cozy, but it was actually very spacious inside. There are different rooms and even the smallest one is functional. We kind of like the bigger room because then that would be enough space to have a table and a chair for visitors or something like that in the room. It actually looked better than other places that we saw in California in terms of space. Overall, we like it. There's a little cozy garden in the back that provides enough privacy. It's the lowest price for the money. We like it a lot. The rooms are furnished, and we just request whatever we need to be in the room, like a bed, a table, a chair, and stuff like that. They bring in like a hairstylist for personal grooming.

I liked Bradfield Place a lot. When I walked into the facility, it had a pleasant atmosphere. It was nice and clean, but it was an older building and there were a couple of maintenance issues they said they were working on. The people there were friendly, and the staff who gave me the tour was helpful and informative. They had nice activities like games and puzzles. There were fellowship areas and an activity room. The bedroom that I saw was clean and efficient. It had a little kitchen and a bathroom, and it had everything you would need.

Bradfield Place is very attentive and caring about their residents. My mother says the food is really good. She has a nice studio room that has a little kitchenette in it. They have bingo, an auction event, cornhole games, and birthday parties.

I removed my loved one from this facility, due to the lack of care and attention. I found her frequently unattended in her room, needing assistance with dressing and toilet use. I had to shower her and change her bed when I would arrive, as it was clear that it was not happening on a timely basis. There was also a lack of monitoring what was taking place between residents that could be harmful. It was a disappointing experience and the admin was not responsive.

Bradfield Place was more updated than the other place we visited, and the price was less, which was surprising. It looked like it had been updated and repainted and had newer carpet. The rooms were small. We didn't see a lot of people, so I guess the residents were in their rooms. There weren't very many people out and about. It's a little older facility. It's been maintained, but the price was high based upon the rooms and what it looked like Mom would be getting in the way of assistance. The stuff in the facility and the way it looked on the inside were OK. The staff was friendly enough, although we asked a few questions that the lady didn't seem to know the answer to. She said, "I can get back with you on that," and she was leaving the facility. She was going to work someplace else, so that didn't give us a good feeling.

I am a cerebral hemorrhage survivor who is paralyzed on the right side and am therefore wheelchair-bound. I had to spend several months at Bradfield while my caregiver recovered from surgery. I think Bradfield is probably best suited for patients who are physically able, but just need a bit of supervision at times. The facility is very under-staffed, so the aides are stretched very thin. Most of them are hard-working and conscientious, but when you put on your "call light," expect to wait half an hour or so before help arrives. And during mealtimes, you're pretty much on your own. You probably shouldn't expect to get your medication regularly, either. Finally, be prepared to buy many of your own supplies. "You need to order more---" was a phrase I often heard. I ate the food once, and it disagreed with my digestive system, so I lived on sandwiches that I prepared myself the rest of the time. I *was* taken for free to get a COVID vaccine; that may have been the highlight of my stay. I did like having a private room with my own kitchenette and bathroom, and the aides were very nice; I just wish there were more of them. Bradfield may be an acceptable choice for the patient who's ambulatory and doesn't need medical monitoring.

My niece has moved into Bradfield Place. The facility is clean and the rooms are beautiful. It is a quiet place and smells good all the time. The staff is kind, patient, and caring too. She is not participating in any of the activities, but they do have several different options of activities for the residents.

Our experience with Bradfield Place so far has been good. They have an activities director that comes up with things daily, they have an event calendar, and transportation for shopping. They offer three meals a day and snacks. I think they're very nice and very helpful. They also have laundry services and attendance depending on the level of care like medication and assistance required. It's just a nice family-oriented community, and the people seem to enjoy each other and get along very well. I haven't eaten their food yet but it looks good, and my mother didn't seem to have a problem with it.

Bradfield was intimate, clean, and the staff was attentive. It’s in a small, residential community. It had courtyards, activity rooms, dining halls, and it provided plenty of activities for the residents. They had arts, transportation to outside activities, and social activities among the residents.

Currently this facility is operating with insufficient staff members. Here are some of the examples that my family has encountered when going to visit our Grandmother in this facility. Medication Aides do not have adequate training. Many of the staff that this facility has placed in charge of giving medications to residents have not been properly trained to do so. Also the Medication Aides are responsible for doing every other job in the building. Resident care, dining room and kitchen responsibilities, laundry, housekeeping, receptionist and any other tasks that are needed due to lack of staff. Currently this facility holds 36 residents and there are only 2 staff members on at any given time. I believe this is not a safe practice when giving medications. The Med. Aides are not able to focus on their job and errors in giving proper medication at correct times are being made. This could result in grave circumstances for the residents. Most recently, one of the Medication Aides was used as the facility cook when the other Part Time cook left. The current Full Time cook is not concerned with residents dietary needs or requests. He is running a factory production food line. If a resident does not like or can not eat the main meal that was prepared, the only alternative that is given is a bowl of cold cereal or a grilled cheese sandwich. This is the only sustenance some residents are being fed. If a resident cannot feed their self, the food is left in front of them with no assistance offered to feed them. They are just told repeatedly to "Eat" when a Resident Aide passes by. The Residents must be at the dining room at appointed times or the F/T cook becomes enraged with the rest of the staff. He has no consideration for the elderly. It is a rushed situation with a do it now attitude. There is no consideration for these people who need more time to function with daily living. And no staff to assist them for more than five minutes of the day, due to the minimal staff that are working and preforming every job in the building. Many of the residents complain about their diet and lack of help they receive from staff. But no resolution to any of these problems are being addressed by Administration.. Also other staff members are being used as Resident Aides. Recently they have pulled a housekeeper from her duties and used her as a Resident Aide. She has not been trained as a Resident Aide. She is going only by what she has seen and other staff members have told her to do. Residents are not being showered or cleaned. Some of the rooms and residents reek of urine and bowel movements. There are at least 10 residents that should not be in a minimal assistance facility such as this because they require full care that would be found in a nursing home facility that was operating with more staff. One last issue I would like to raise, on Thursday 4/23/2015 on the 10PM - 6AM shift, a Medication Aide was left by herself to watch over and manage the entire facility. No other staff members were present. The Administration was not able to get any other staff to come in to work the Resident Aide position. So instead of covering it them self, they let one person try to manage the entire facility. I believe this is a very unsafe practice. What if there was an emergency situation or something had happened to the Aide that was on? There are many problems at this facility that are being passed over by the Adminstration and the parent company they are under Enlivant. We are currently looking for another facility to move our Grandmother to and hope to accomplish this ASAP. However I feel that some sort of inspection from the State of Texas needs to be conducted to ensure the rest of the residents that have no voice and are powerless to change their situation get the help they deserve and are paying for be provided.

The menu posted that probably goes to the state to show what they feed the residence is not what is served on a regular basic. I understand it is subject to change but serving sandwiches for the amount paid is not acceptable. Received sandwiches for dinner four out of five night week of 12/7/14.

My mother has been living in Bradfield for two years now. The facility is clean. The people working there are really nice. They clean her room once a week, and the room is nice. It is air-conditioned, carpeted, and has a nice walk-in shower. I’ve eaten there three times, and the food is pretty good.
