Assisted Living

Residents receive a full complement of amenities and services, including housekeeping and maintenance services and three delicious chef-prepared meals each day served in a beautiful dining room. In addition to providing support, assisted living empowers residents to live purposefully and experience a profound sense of belonging. Spacious studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments are available.

Memory Care

Traditions Memory Support neighborhoods are specially designed to provide care and comfort in a secure environment for those with mild to severe cognitive impairment. Our team members are trained to respect and value each resident, recognizing their preferences and needs; empowering them to be themselves and live purposefully. Because we know memory loss affects each resident differently, we plan programs, care, and services in creative ways, tailored to each individual. We also extend our support to the families, knowing the challenges they experience. In addition, residents receive similar services and amenities as in assisted living.

I would be cautious before you decide to put a loved one at Traditions. I know it’s hard to keep staff these days, but it’s a revolving door from the top down. The simplest of things are not done consistently from laundry, housekeeping, wellness reminders and dress. We pay extra for medication assistance which is normal. I was told today that we wanted something for nothing by the head person today which is untrue. We pay $50,000 a year. Please be careful when making that decision to place a loved one there. It’s all about the money. I was reminded by this person twice. No empathy or care at all.

My mother is at Traditions of Mill Creek. It's been a bit disappointing. It's a new community, and they just opened the doors in March, right when COVID hit. The staff, although I'm sure they're qualified, like every community probably had to make adjustments to accommodate the families and COVID; the processes were changing daily. The communication was lacking, but they just couldn't adapt with the daily "yes you can do it" or "no you can't" kind of thing. The staff is fine, but they're not adequately staffed. With COVID they probably don't have the people to employ. Mom complains that she has to wait quite a while to go to the bathroom. Although she's in assisted living, she is at the highest care level, and there have been times where they haven't been as responsive when she needed it. They don't have enough people on staff to handle the number of the people they have there, but she's safe, and it's a very nice facility. Everybody has addressed her questions and concerns. There's definitely a disconnect internally of who said what and what they're committing to because they're not all on the same page. A lot of that is because it's a newer facility and they haven't worked out the kinks yet. The activities have been limited because of COVID.

We went to Traditions of Mill Creek. It seemed to be a place that would fit me, it had what I was looking for, and they've got many amenities. They came to my home to pick me up for the tour, they were very nice, and the tour was very nice. It was brand new and was nice. I met the nice staff.
