I toured The Waterford in Smyrna. I like the layout, the amenities, and the programs that they had for the residents. It was laid out well; the dining room was in the center of the facility, and the rooms were to both sides. There was a gym and a library. There was a big gathering room where they had church services and played bingo, and other things. The staff was very knowledgeable. It seems good.

I visited a friend at The Waterford in Smyrna. The attendants were very kind, very giving, very informative, and the facilities looked very nice. It's very clean, and they are very intent on having activities for the season. They really decorate for each of the various holidays throughout the year, so that's very helpful, especially for the residents there. The staff was very informative and very caring, so I would give them a high rating. The upkeep was very good. They work within your budget for sure.

The Waterford in Smyrna is very good. My relative likes it a lot. She has a 16x16 living area, and the apartment is probably 16x24 area which is a pretty good size. All the meals are provided, transportation is provided, there is a nurse on duty 24 hours, and housekeeping comes once a week. They have outside activities and big areas for people to meet. They have bowling and a whole bunch of stuff. It's all first class and very affordable. The food is great, the portions are large, there's mixed selection of menu every meal, and waiters and waitresses are at the tables. It's like a resort, and it's really nice. A hospital is also across the street.

This facility is an assisted living facility with a separate memory care unit. Both of my parents live there together, sharing a one bedroom apartment. I have been pleased with their care so far, but I think some things are beginning to fall through the cracks. They have been there a year. The food quality is not what it was when we arrived. Their census is increasing and I am starting to see their quality of care having to be spread too thin. Hoping there will be an increase in staffing. Still love the facility and the caregivers, just a bit worried for the future.
