Charter Senior Living of Cleveland was very homey. It was very nice. It almost felt like you were walking through somebody's living room. It was a warm and comfortable place. It was bright and sunny. They had a nice courtyard. The rooms were fine.
I didn't like walking right into the dining room when you walked in through the front door because we unfortunately caught them right at lunchtime. It was a little awkward. Other than that, it was a nice small facility, which is kind of what we're looking for.
Everybody was very nice. The residents seemed happy and content.
The rooms were similar to what we were seeing. They only had two options available at the time. One was the companion room, which is not something we are interested in. The other was the studio.
The staff wasn't expecting us, and she was a little disorganized. The layout was OK, but I didn't care for the dining room that was right in the front entrance.

My mom is a resident of Charter Senior Living of Cleveland, and it has excellent care. I love the family atmosphere and the attention. They're very clean. They have a beautiful courtyard, too. We chose this for our mom, because number one, it is close to home. And number two, I felt that they gave the residents personal attention, and they watch them closely. They take them on outings, and they have a lot of activities going on.

My mom is signed in to go to Charter Senior Living of Cleveland as long as her room is complete. As soon as I walked in the door, I felt like I was at home, it was just very welcoming and open. All the residents, of course, have their own personalities as far as their room decor, but everything was nice and they're getting ready to renovate. I know immediately that it is what we wanted.
I looked at two others, and one was a little large for my 90-year-old mother who needs a wheelchair and walker to maneuver. This one is just one level and it has everything she needs. It's got a beautiful inside courtyard where they can get in the sun and do a little gardening even. They have a crafting area, a nice open gathering room, a living room, and the dining room looked nice.
I've walked into my share of nursing homes and I did not like even the smell of them, but this one was very pleasant. There was no neglect smell, I guess, and you could tell, everything was kept clean and nice.
I saw the residents coming in to eat when I was there. I saw the bingo games and things when they had other gatherings. I have not had a chance to sample their food, but I did talk to a couple of residents and they said the food was wonderful.

Both my parents have been a living here since Fall 2016 and are so at home here. I know they are safe and well taken care of by the staff. My parents have a 15 year old dog that is able to stay with them too. A real deal breaker of he had not been able to stay.

It's very nice and clean. I was disappointed with Mom's companion because the other lady has Alzheimer's, and we are having some issues with that, but for the most part, it's been OK. My mom-in-law is not crazy about the food. They have activities like bingo, and they take the bus to go on field trips and dinners.

We had a good experience visiting. They were very helpful, understanding, kind, and very open. They showed us a room and different activities that they had for the patients. The room was very nice, and it was for two people. They are allowed to bring their own little light stand, pictures, and television. It was very pleasant and clean. They do dancing and exercise, and they also have a beauty shop. They also have a bus service where they take them on field trips and go different places.

We actually know people who are staying here. They're both from our church. They of course like the place, and that's more to me than seeing anything. If somebody who lives in there likes it that means a lot more than walking through there and seeing everything. The staff is very good and seem to be very helpful. Our friends seem to like the food. The rooms were very nice. If there's anything that particularly stood out it's that, because we do have people staying there who we know, that is our first choice.

My mother-in-law lived here a couple of year ago so we were more familiar with the place. The staff showed us around and it was nice. The staff were very nice and helpful and they introduced us to the lady who plans the activities. They do have different activities like the have people come or bands come where they entertain the residents. They do different things to keep them busy.
