My dad moved to Six Mile Retirement Center and he really enjoys it. It's a small community, they really take care of my dad, and the nurses and staff are very nice. The only thing is that they only have one phone, so it's hard to get a hold of them when you have to. For the most part, they answer, but you have to call several times. Other than that, it's great. Most of the staff members are very nice, very personable, when I call they're always joking with my dad. There's only one person that isn't friendly, but other than that, everybody is really nice. I have not been there because of COVID, but he said that he has his own TV in his room and he's not sharing a room with anybody. He says that the food is fine; he's not picky though.

I did not care for Six Mile; the rooms were so small they’re not even for one person with a single bed, and they’re trying to cram two people in one room. There were no private rooms available, and I was not impressed with it at all. A lot of residents had to share bathrooms, and I don’t like that. The facility is kind of older and it smells.
