We chose Southwinds for my mom. I like that it's a small family-owned and operated facility, so it feels very home-like and caring. Each resident has their own room. The staff is fine. Their food is very good, country-style cooking, and my mother is eating like a horse. They have limited activities, but I know they do play a little bit of bingo and do some exercises. We are very pleased, and my mom is very happy in this place.

My wife has been there now for 4 months. Family atmosphere exists. I visit on a very regular basis and have no complaints whatsoever.

My dad was in Southwinds before, and he was happier there than anywhere else. It was a very small community, so they had a small staff. He likes the people that work there. I was not thrilled with his room. He was in a house that has been converted, and I thought there was a lot of clutter. I don’t think it was safe for an elderly person.
