I love living at Hillside Place Assisted Living and Memory Care in Lincoln City for a number of reasons: with 33 rooms, it has all the amenities without me getting lost in a large crowd; wonderful, helpful, caring staff who work together to provide for my every need; beautiful location in the trees near the ocean; large rooms with lots of light; three chef-prepared meals in a spacious Dining Room or brought to my room; van and bus to take me to doctor's appointments and fun outings; fun activities held every day; a quiet, clean, comfortable, safe place to live. I love it here.

My dad was a resident of Hillside Place Assisted Living, Memory Care. They had a great cook in there that cooked for the seniors, but then they got rid of him, and the food went down, or otherwise that would give them a five.
His room was a studio. They have bingo, they go on trips, and they take them shopping and everything. There were no visitors, you couldn't. They had nine of them that got COVID, and nobody could go in the room unless they were suited up. Five of them passed, but not all of COVID. It was right in the very beginning. We had to eat in the room. We never saw anybody. So that's why, when they got evacuated because of the fire, I never sent him back. They're building a memory care unit right now.

My dad is in Hillside Place. They seem to care about the residents there. They are very attentive. My dad says the food is good. He is in a nice little apartment. It is a couple of hours from here, so I do not go there often. However, they seem to be concern.

Hillside House was very clean, but at the time I visited, they had many people living there with a very small staff, so the staff had no cook -- they took turns -- and the rooms were terribly small; that’s where I laughed and said my bathroom is bigger than your bedrooms. They have a large dining room; it’s beautiful, but it just wasn’t big enough for me and my husband.
