Reflections Alzheimer's and Memory Care

Dedication to Service

Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's or other memory impairments is a very personal, loving dedication to service. It requires service for specific and individual needs.

More often, the resident with memory loss needs assistance with life's daily activities including personal care but may not have an acute medical condition requiring around the clock skilled nursing or instruction. Finiding that unique combination of physical setting and specialized care is a journey traveled by many families.

The Reflections Program

At Reflections, our trained staff works closely with family members and friends to assemble a "Life History" identifying the personal experiences of each resident's life.

Through the "Life History," we get to know the personality behind the person, fostering a one-to-one association more like "friend to friend" rather than "staff to patient." Details and events from your loved one's past become "shared" memories and experiences serving as a foundation for activities, communication, and the development of friendships built on support, understanding and mutual respect.

Base Monthly Services
  • Laundry Services - personal and linen
  • Housekeeping
  • 24 hour-a-day specially trained staff
  • Three daily meals plus snacks
  • Tailored activities - therapeutic and recreational
  • Full-time Reflections supervisor
  • Individualized service planning
  • Family and community support groups
  • Reflections Program - a personal life history program
Tailored Services
  • Medication Assistance
  • Assistance with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, incontinence management, and other personal services

I toured Legend at Council Road. It was a small community but it was very clean. They had nice-sized rooms. The staff who gave me the tour was very nice and knowledgeable. The dining area was very nice. They had bingo, crafts, movie nights, and exercises every day, and some residents were playing different kinds of games.

The best part of Legend at Council Road was that it is a new facility. It looked very modern. It looked like they cared a lot about their people that were in there. The tour was very good and very informative. The lady that helped us was very nice. It was more of assisted living that we looked at. The person who took us around was very informative, answered all of our questions and, did really well. I couldn't tell much about the rest of the staff, other than they were introduced to us. They gave us some cookies and they were really good. I don't think there's any perfect facility as far as means and everything, but it was clean and the rooms were a little bit larger than some of the other places I looked at. They had a beauty salon, an exercise facility, game rooms, and they had activities going on for the people who were in there. They had a central dining room whereas the other facilities we looked at, the memory care people had a separate dining area.

Legend at Council Road was very welcoming. The staff I met was wonderful. We met several of the residents, and they were very nice. I enjoyed that they allow pets, because I think pets are important. The facility was nice, very clean, and it looked relatively new. The main thing that we're looking for right now is a place where we can go from independent to full-time care in one place, and they aren't set up for the independent living. We toured the assisted living and memory care. The place was very well kept, and the inside was very nice.

My dad moved into Legend at Council Road. The deciding factor for us was that they had a room that opens up into the courtyard, so he was able to keep his dog, and only needs to walk a couple of steps to let his dog out. Everybody has been great, and he seems to be really happy there. They answer every question we have, and anything we've asked them to do they have done. They've done a great job. They haven't really done much with the COVID thing, but the rooms were nice, and the restaurant was nice. We brought his furniture from his house. He has a one-bedroom that has a living room, kitchen, bedroom, and a bathroom. I like that it's not all in one room.

My mother moved into the assisted living of Legend at Council Road. It provides more than just what someone in the assisted living would need. It has different levels of care based on a person's need. That's the main reason I chose it. The rooms are very nice, and my mother is very pleased because she was able to bring the last few possessions that she had since there's ample room for them. They have amenities, good meals, opportunities for families to have private dining, a hairdresser, podiatrist, and a person to do their nails. They have activities for the residents and their activities coordinator has a full day of programming going on for them every day.

The visit at Legend at Council Road was good. It's lovely, very clean, and has newer construction. I didn't meet any of the caregivers, but it is a lovely place that I like a lot. The sales person gave me a tour and talked to me. It is our second choice. I am impressed with it.

Our daughter was so impressed with Legend at Council Road that we came to see it, too. We liked the location very much and felt like it was where we wanted to be. It's a beautiful place. The room is very nice and very adequate for my husband and me. The staff is very friendly and wants to help very much. We haven’t had any problems with anyone. We just moved in a week ago. We have doctors' appointments and home health coming in. We have attended the prayer and praise time that they have in the mornings. They have bingo and other games. The food is very good.

It was very appealing when you go in at Legend at Council Road. It was new looking, didn't smell like urine, the rooms were a little smaller, and it looked like a little village with little apartments and lights on the door.

Wonderful and amazing do not even come close to describing how I enjoyed & found peace with mother being at Legend on Council in the Memory Care Unit!! The director and staff are very attentive and loving to each resident. Her apartment was keep very clean day to day. And the meals were very good - served in a nice dining room environment. I also appreciate the organization and effort they made for mom to attend outings. Actual field trips to different locations! I enjoyed the relationship with the administrative and medical staff also. Always there to help, assist, and support! I could continue but this lets you know a little about how excellent Legend on Council is!

The Legend at Council Road was actually closer to my home. It had the same layout, like the floor plan and the dining area, as the other Legend that we visited. We visited there at around 5 p.m. so we were able to interact with the residents, and they were all friendly and happy. We were able interact with the staff too as we took our tour. The people were nice as well.
