I thought the staff at Blue Ridge Place was very friendly. It was very clean. It was a small community, so everyone knew each other. It didn't have the feel of one of the larger institutional-like nursing homes or assisted living places. I only saw one room that was empty at that time, and it was very, very small. The building was old and very small, so it wasn't a long walk from any room to the activities, dining room, or to be out with the others socializing. The director was very personable. I met one of the nurses, and she was very personable as well. As far as activities, I didn't see anything going on when I was there. It looked like they had a small area for people to gather for activities. I know they had activities because they said that they had bingo and stuff like that.

Blue Ridge Place was wonderful. We had a great visit. They were so personable. We left feeling like they cared about my mother-in-law as an individual and she would get very personal individualized care there. They only have 31 beds, but they do whatever each patient needs and we love that. If she needed memory care, she could go to any level there. I was so impressed by the chef. She makes everything from scratch. She cares about the residents as if they're her grandparents and they get to choose their meals every day. She has a lot of alternatives, like homemade soup or sandwiches, besides the entrees. She was just great. They were very clean. My mother-in-law loved the colors. The best part was we saw an empty room, but then we visited a lady in her room, and once we saw the furniture, that thrilled my mother-in-law because she saw that her queen bed would fit with an end table on each side, the leather couch that she loves, and her recliner. That was just so encouraging to both of us. She said, "This place is beautiful. It is so much nicer than I expected." They have a beauty salon and a courtyard, and she would want to take her little puppy and they were positive about that.

Blue Ridge Place was very nice, I was happy with them. We were there for almost an hour and a half. They explained a lot to us, answered a lot of our questions, gave us a tour, and it was very good. The director was able to answer our questions without hesitation. She knew the answer to everything, and I brought a notebook full of questions. She was on point and ready to go. We visited three other places. They were not able to answer our questions, and they weren't very professional, but she was great. They explained that usually during tours they would invite us to come in and have a meal with them, but during COVID right now nobody's allowed to eat. Not even families are allowed to eat in the common areas because of COVID. Once the restriction is lifted we could, but for now we can stand outside looking in. It was very homey, very relaxed, very comforting, and warm.

My grandfather has been at Blue Ridge over a year now. We are very happy with how welcoming everyone is. He was made to feel at home and comfortable right away. The staff goes above and beyond to check on him, include him, and care for him. Thank you Blue Ridge Team

Blue Ridge Place was a small community with assisted living. If you ever get worse, you can stay there. I liked the smallness of the place. I liked the staff and I thought my mother-in-law would get excellent care there. She didn't like that it didn't have a living room window; it only had a bedroom window. The residents needed more care than what she needed. It didn't feel vibrant. The music was real loud and it was distracting. It had a very homey atmosphere and it had a pretty outdoor area.

Blue Ridge Place is very clean and very nice. They have a large dining room, a beauty shop, and activities all day long. They have two chefs on duty all the time.

It's dining room was smaller and looked more homey. It was just a different atmosphere, which had something to do with the size of the community. They had a large area where the residents could watch TV and do activities. The staff was very good. They were interested in each individual. The staff tried to figure out how to interface with the residents better and do whatever they could to improve their quality of life.

My visit to was great. I loved it. The lady was at the door when we walked in and asked us what we were really looking for. She took us all over the facility and showed us everything. She was very nice and on her toes. I would like to live there if I could find a way. They had staff on duty, knew what they were doing, and looked out for the patients. They had exercises, memory games, and movie nights. Families were invited for cookouts and family dinners.

We visited for my father. It is very nice. I would much rather he had gone there, but he thought it was too small. It only had 25 occupants. The staff would come in and check on them. The dining room was very clean, and dining was satisfactory. Food was good. However, it wouldn't have worked out because the room wasn't big enough with my father in a wheelchair. They need to have bigger rooms. However, I like the layout of the facility, and I like that there is a garden for the elder ones. I also like that a doctor would come to see them once a month and that there are nurses around the clock.

I was able to visit. It was beautiful. The people were friendly and nice. The staff was very sweet, nice and open to me. They and showed me around. Their hospitality was great. Their rooms were very nice. My only concern was that they didn't had lock on the door and my mother had dementia. I would recommend them to others.

It was perfect. We liked the fact that there were only 30 residents so it was more homey for my mother. The staff have been so gracious to help her go to the dining room because at first, she wouldn't leave her room. They were also very attentive and the head nurse worked really hard to give her medicines. My only concern was the speakers they had which woke up my mom a lot of times at night. If they could turn the volume down in the rooms since they used the system mostly at night.
