I've sent an application to Cherry Ridge. I've toured it. It's close to me and it has everything as far as assisted living, enhanced assisted living, nursing home, and hospice. It has everything right there. The person who gave me the tour was very good. The rooms were very well kept and very nice. I'm not sure what kind of room my parents are going to have yet. The dining area was nice. The place is very clean and very nice. For independent living, they have a lot of different things. They have games and all kinds of activities, but I'm not sure about assisted living. I have to meet up with somebody to talk about that. The surroundings are very neat, very nice, and organized. I think it's very good. It's a very nice place.

Cherry Ridge was very nice. They've redone the whole place. I was there years ago, but it's very, very nice looking. They did all the floors and walls. It's very attractive. However, we just got the feeling when we were in there that this isn't the place. The staff seemed knowledgeable, but we got the feeling we were being rushed a little. She acted like she was late for something, so we didn't like that. They've redone the whole place. It looks beautiful, and the setting is nice. The rooms also look good. The outdoor space is very attractive. There is room for people to sit out if they want to be outside. It is also set away from the road, so there's no traffic that you're looking at or anything like that.

We have a friend over at Cherry Ridge. We have eaten there. As a matter of fact, she is still living there. She started out independent living in one of the cottages and now she is in assisted living. She still seems to be very satisfied. We really didn't have any close contact with any employees other than in the restaurant. My friend is really satisfied. She is not easily satisfied, so it must be pretty good. The rooms are very nice. It's one of the newer facilities. It has been there for over 10 years now, but still compared to some of the facilities that are around town, it's relatively new. The dining area is very nice. The place might be a little more formal than some of the facilities. In some cases, they dress for dinner and that kind of thing. The facility is very clean and well kept. Inside is very nice, but outside, it's not anything outstanding.

Well I can see from previous reviews that this facility is highly rated. I have encountered a problem that was not previously mentioned. Due to the virus & the lock down of the facility we haven't been able to visit since March. Today we are scheduled for a visit, however my brother was informed by a neighbor who has a relative at this facility that all visits had been cancelled. Upon attempting to verify with the Cherry Ridge staff, a call to the concierge desk was made, the person that was on duty had no information, & transferred me to someone in the nursing dept. Once again the question was asked and it was like attempting to get water out of a rock. The lack of information is uncalled for, all that was needed simple yes & no. I made a call to the CEO & greeted by his or her adm. assistant, & requested a call back this was at 8:24 am it is now almost 10:00 am. If you are looking for a professional community care I suggest you look somewhere else.

My mother is in enhanced assisted living at St. Ann's Community at Cherry Ridge. They're really good. The staff sincerely does their job and cares. It's a pretty nice, new, and well maintained facility. She's been at a concert, and they have a lot of things going on all the time. The residents are required to attend three meals a day so that they can get out and socialize. The food has been fantastic. Everything seems to work. There's nothing wrong with the place at all. There's a bulletin board in the common area with all sorts of announcements and different things going on. It's very well priced for what they do.

My mom is a resident of Cherry Ridge at St. Ann's and she's doing really well. It's a very nice place and well planned-out. The nurses and aides are very pleasant and they watch out for her. Where they are is a small area so my mom can only go in a circle. The bedrooms are all in a circle so she doesn't have to take any elevators and it's only on one floor. That's nice because her memory isn't very good. The dining area has long tables and they seat about six to eight to a table. The food can be a little fancy, and if she doesn't like it, she doesn't know that she can ask for something else. So if she leaves her plate they'll make her something special they know she'll like. She's treated very well, the staff is really good. They have painting, coloring, and she was doing a puzzle the other day. My mother's apartment when she was still in assisted living was huge. It had a kitchenette, living room, a big bedroom, and a big bathroom. In the memory center, she just has one room with a bathroom, but there's still enough space.

After visitng St. Ann's Community, I decided to tour Cherry Ridge to see if that was also a good fit for my grandmother. WOW! This place is gorgeous. It's very new, clean, and is well-maintained. The staff are super friendly, and the residents are always social and hanging out!

Cherry Ridge takes you from assisted living all the way through to the end in different facilities and different locations. You can have a high-end, little bungalow with a garage, or if you need more help, you can go to assisted living. If it's more intense care you need, you can even go into full nursing care there. The food was good, and they had lots of activities that included music. They were nice but had so much red tape. The staff was very helpful but a little snooty.

The Cherry Ridge is a nice community. Wonderful staff; they were very involved with the residents. It’s a smaller community well-suited to caring for people with memory or dementia related issues. The food was very good. They had a very good activity schedule. Much more on their schedule than I’ve seen in other places; which was nice. The first word that came to my mind was warm; very warm, and friendly place.

I have been a volunteer at Cherry Ridge for about 8 years or so. Since the beginning of that time, I was quite impressed with the personal care that the residents received. They are treated with respect and honor and the facility is very warm and welcoming. The past few years I have volunteered almost exclusively in Rainer Grove, which is for residents who need special Memory Care help. They are encouraged to be a part of many possible activities, from birthday parties, games, and singing times, to excursions into the community, depending on the desires and abilities of the residents. Even if a resident doesn't want to participate in some activity, they are treated with loving care. I have been extremely impressed with Cherry Ridge! I want to live there myself!!

Cherry Ridge is very good. They’ve got cottages, and they have a building that depends on the level of care. Cherry Ridge is like a little village for people of a certain age group and with certain needs. It’s a community within a community. They go on field trips, they take bus rides, and they’ve got Bingo, shuffle boards, woodworking, and crafts. They have exercise programs.

Despite outward appearances of beautiful mission archiecture, this community is severely undercapitalized with a small number of assisted living and nursing care rooms in comparison to the large number of cottages and apartments for independent living. Demolition of a building on Irondequoit campus filled both the rooms and waiting lists with folks from Irondequoit campus instead of Webster campus. Folks in apartments and cottages must wait a very long time for care level needed or move elsewhere outside the community. Six year residents of community cannot get next level of care in Webster. Continuum of care is not really available at this modern attractive canpus as marketing materials suggest. Continuum of care is available at aging facility in Irondequoit.
