I liked that the Cottages were not so big and not too small. The staff was helpful and told me about their staffing and how many patients per staff they have. They also told me about their security. With regard to their activities, they told me that they have people come in to play music. They also play games, like bingo.

Park Ridge Nursing Home is a large facility that houses up to 111 residents at any given time. A large number of that percentage (about 90% or more) is resident-filled, so there are not usually many beds for admittance into the nursing home. The nursing staff is warm and welcoming, and seemed to have genuine care and concern for all of their residents. It seems that the residents feel appropriately taken care of and grateful for the care they receive. It is located in the town of Greece, NY, and is in the building development of Unity Hospital. While the care is of top quality, it seemed the renovations and overall atmosphere of the home was lacking, and in need of some improvement. The actual rooms are not very spacious and the community areas were in need of some upkeep. Residents did not seem to have a problem with too many of the physical attributes of the home, since they are well taken care of. There is a nice mood of community inside the home. Residents feel close with each other and also connected to the staff. The food was average, though much better than many other nursing homes visited.
