I would not recommend this facility to anyone who cares for a senior. I had my brother last year there and it was not an experience I wish to anyone. The day admitted the room given to him had such a stench unbearable covered with spray, sticky floor. The following week, my brother lost his shoes, nobody could find, finally a cna found them. the patient next to him was wearing them. on the following week i noticed he had his mediation (pills) underneath his bed. I Immediately reported and nobody had notice. The second occasion I fold pills again underneath the bed , took pictures and made a formal complaint. After this experience he was given crushed pills. Since I lived far from Nursing home I was only able to visit my brother twice a week. CNA and nurses were kind but you have to be on your toes for any mishaps. I reported to Social worker if he can be transfered to a room with at least a window but unsuccessful. As time went by I asked for a transfer to a closer place near me but they were hesitant in helping me. My brother as very sick, sensitive and it was painful to see him suffer. cannot continue because it reminds me of other incidents. my brother past away in May 2021. I truly do not recommend this facility to your loved ones.

The care at West Lawrence Care Center is mediocre. There are occasions I go to my mother's room, and I can tell they have not been cleaned, but they were able to take care of her. They follow up whenever we have concerns as far as medication and how she is doing. She is in a private room, and the space is just fine. She is there for dementia. She does do recreation; she watches television and plays music. They give her privacy and let her do things of that sort. They are doing the best they can under their own circumstances. More staffing would definitely allow the nurses to do the things that they need to do and attend to the patients more.
