The staff is horrible and nasty. Only take good care of patients that family comes often. My aunt have been here for 10yrs and gotten worst.

Park Terrace Care Center is a great facility! I was very hesitant with send my Auntie to Park in the beginning because I was scared and didn’t know much about the facility, all I know is that the local hospital had this place down perfectly to the “T” very accommodating, Clean, communication was perfect and the team their was truly brilliant and they knew exactly what they were doing! Whoever runs that building runs a tight ship! I am truly grateful for everything they did for my auntie and she is now home back to playing goldfish with her girlfriends! Definitely recommend Park Terrace!

My 52 year old boyfriendd was a patient there post storke. His rehab was very good, the nursing care was good. The staff know how to deal with the resulting behavioral problems which many stroke patients exhibit. The discharge was a complete disaster. I feel like I was coerced into taking him home. They trained me in transferring about 4 sessions, 15 minutes total on giving medications and changing diapers. When the patient arrived home he received a commode which he couldn't use because he is pretty much incontinent. The need for a hospital bed for a partially paralyzed patient was not stressed to me. the patient had to sleep in a wheelchair for 7 days. The home care physical therpaist told me to send him directly back to a facility because he needs 24 hour care and my apartment was not fit for him and was unsafe and that they would be dropping him in 2 weeks. Park Terrace told me he would continue therapy at home and would probably be an outpatient. The result was my having to send him to another facility and it has been extremely devastating for both of us. A few weeks before his discharge I was told I couldn't bring him home for the weekend because I would need someone there to help me. A few weeks later after my having 2 transfer training sessions he was READY TO GO!!. Words cannot express the pain we have suffered because of this. He was not ready to go home with only one person to help him and only 8 hours a day of homecare. No one even tried to explain this to me. Unfortunately I went with my heart and took him home and our lives have become even more miserable.

I visited this place to see my grandfather who was staying at this facility due to brain injury a few years back. I found it to be in a cramped area and the building it's self was small for the amount of the people that in habit the place. Other then that I found the personnel to be very helpful. Everything was clean and sterile from what I could tell. My grandfather was very well taken care of according to him. Though he found himself bored most of the time. Occasionally it would take some of the staff a longer time to get to him due to the amounts of patients at the facility. There was an issue with the comfort of the beds themselves. I was hoping that due to the amount of time these people stay on beds in a reclined or layed down position, the beds would be more comfortable. I would recommend this facility if you want something closer to home in order to keep in touch with your loved on and for a cheaper alternative.
