As a seven year resident of Madison York, I can speak honestly. Firstly, the administrator is a warm, loving and very professional leader. She runs an open door policy and greets residents and visitor with a cup of coffee and a smile.
Sure, there is room for improvement is, but M/Y is work in progress. There are brand new bathrooms, an updated dining hall and more changes on the way. The food surely needs changing.
The staff is caring and hard working, and most everyone is on a first name basis. There are indoor and outdoor activities everyday and we are located one bus stop away from Queens mall
If you or someone you love needs assistance, come on by and take the tour of our home.
As for bugs and rodents, not here. I would not live in a home with Vernon. The board of health is always welcome here.
Drop in anytime, I'm sure Ms. Solitto would love to see you.

I am very pleased with this facility. The staff was very friendly and pleasant to talk to. The director and nurses were very informative throughout my tour. I was able to observe a few interactions and they are so caring of the residents. The laughs shared between the residents and staff made me feel that this is a good place to choose for my uncle.

The staff was good however the service for tents are bad. The director of the place is the worst and not helpful. My mom almost died there. For all the money you pay the food should be healthy and good but its not, the rooms are old and need updating. Most of staff is nice but there a lot of unprofessional staff there as well as the director being the worst of all. Please if I was you I keep looking this is the worst place.

I have my grandmother stay in this facility, she has been here for almost 10 years at this point. She loves it, and her roommate is lovely. She was just moved to a newly renavated room, and it even has a free tv! The administrator is so welcoming and easy to talk to. The aides could smile a little more, but they do their job well. All in all, I highly reccomend this facility to people with elderly family members who need care.

The Department of Health have to come and investigate this facility. There is a infestation of Bed Bugs, Roaches, Mice that the poor residents have to endure. The patients are constantly falling and the Aids are not nice.

The food at Madison-York Home for Adults is lousy because there's a lot of processed food. It had a 'No Smoking' sign in front of the building but 20 feet away, you see people standing outside smoking and that's bad for people who don't smoke. It had a roof where you could sit, and the people are allowed to smoke there. The appearance is raggedy and the rooms are not that great. There are two people in a really small room. The attendants there are good and overworked, and Mom likes them. The residents there do nothing. They don't play games or bingo and nobody comes in to entertain the people.

Madison York was one of the best facilities in the area. I had stayed there for about a month and everything was all right at that time. I think there's nothing that they need improvement on except the food. Nevertheless, I would recommend this place.
