My mother moved to Vista in 2020. At the beginning, everything was fine. She was legally blind and I visited and took her out 3-4 times a week since she was unable to go out on her own. I would take her for walks, tidy up her apartment, bring snacks. Then COVID-19. I was no longer allowed to visit and to care for her, and neither did Vista under the circumstances! She developed bedsores and I never was informed even though I was her health care proxy. They had an outside company treat her and never informed me. The on-site doctor misdiagnosed her and when they took her to the hospital it was too late to save her. She had developed a sepsis infection. During her hospitalization all her jewelry as well as her passport were stolen from her apartment! I filed a police report and contacted the State Department. My mother passed in 2021. Unless you can keep a very close watch and unless your loved one is fairly independent don’t trust your loved one to Vista. Don’t be fooled by appearances

We were looking around a little bit and suddenly Vista on 5th came up. It looked great and so we took it. It looked really good and very nice. They seemed very nice, very pleasant, helpful, and willing to help. I'm not well right now and I have trouble getting around and they seem to have all the facilities there to do that. This woman my son has been dealing with I just met her that day and she just seemed very pleasant and very helpful. She was good and was a very sweet woman. Everything looked like it was in good shape with plenty of closet space. They give you a bed, a table and two chairs, and some other things. Everything looked very, very meticulously maintained and it's very clean.
