Carolina Village was a good facility. The rooms were immaculate. Everything about it was good. It's just the price is a little more than I could afford. They have a walking trail that they can get out and walk on. They have a group room where they do group activities if it's bad weather or something. The staff members were nice people.

We were impressed with Carolina Village. The lady who showed us around was very knowledgeable and very accommodating. We saw some cottages, but unfortunately, none were available. They even had a doggie psychiatrist that would talk to our dog. That impressed me, the doggie psychiatrist. The staff was very informative, very straightforward, and knowledgeable. She had a good rapport with seniors. We were very impressed with the Carolina Village, and Hendersonville was a town that is on our acceptable list. My wife was born there. The place is mostly new, so it's pretty good. They had tray ceilings which increase the high ceilings of the main living rooms.

I went to Carolina Village. I saw the whole place, and I know a number of people who live there in various stages. My church is very well represented there. I've been there a couple of times visiting, but truthfully I don't like any of them. I prefer to live among a variety of people and a variety of ages. It just isn't for me yet. I haven't had that much experience with the staff. My experience has been more with the residents, but everybody was very friendly and helpful. They were not intrusive. They're there to serve, and they go about their business and if you need help; they are there on call.
I ate there before the pandemic, and the food was wonderful. There's a large variety. There are a number of different levels of food plan, so you don't have to eat there all the time if you don't wish to. You can eat there all the time if you want. It was a very good food plan.
It's a lovely facility. I just visited a friend there who just left a beautiful well-kept house. She's gonna be living in a three-room unit. It's lovely. They have plenty of room. They're very happy, and I think I would probably be happy there too (even though I live in a 6,500 square foot house). They have a pool, a gym, and a post office. They have more than one place to eat. They have a hospital there and a rehab center. I don't think you can beat that facility.

Carolina Village had a pool, a dining room, and a fitness center. I didn't see any activities, but they provide them. The rooms were bigger for the money, and I remember the financial arrangements being better than the other place we visited.

I visited Carolina Village. They had all-inclusive care and that was good. They have a higher class of food, but they also have few activities, and it was an older facility. The staff was always cooperative, and always approachable. They often had quite good food, a large selection, and it was high quality most of the time. I know they have a craft room, an exercise room, and a billiards room. They have made many changes since I last went there. They had a swimming pool, and a bistro, but I have not seen that.

The independent living part of Carolina Village doesn't give you that warm, fuzzy kind of feeling. They give good care and the people are nice, but it feels like an institution. The colors on the walls are just very drab and not warm. The young girl who gave us the tour was extremely nice and knowledgeable, but I feel that someone older would have more understanding about people such as myself who want to move their family member.

I visited Carolina Village. Food was great. They were extremely friendly and personable and not in a fake kind of way. They were genuine. It's comfortable. The apartments are quite spacious and have really good light, and they're well-designed. They have good views, good light, and good closet. They are comfortable. It didn't make you feel like you're living in a box. I think it is specifically attractive and emotionally comfortable. People are helpful. It is not an institution; it is down to earth.

Carolina Village is much more expensive, but they only offer 1 meal a day. What they do is they serve until 6:00 PM and you can have your one meal a day anytime during that period, so you can have a big lunch or a big supper, but it's the same meal; you only eat there once. The meal was excellent. They offer sit and fit exercising for those who don't have good balance, card games, and people themselves have started Bible studies. They have a beautiful baby grand piano at the lobby, and they have music time at Christmas. It is set in a wooded setting, and they have private little cottage-type places, private 2- and 3-bedroom homes, and yet it feels like a cozy community. They also have 3-story apartments in the same setting, but it's back a little and it's well-maintained.

Carolina Village was absolutely fabulous, and the visit was very delightful. The grounds are beautiful. The dining room and service were very satisfactory. The people were so friendly.
