Worst nursing care in STL and director (Paul). Flithy rooms. Nursing staff failed to follow doctors order for meds. DON and Paul didn't care to hear about that.

My Mom was there this last weekend and was told that only 1 Staff member showed up and they had to stay in bed all weekend. Staff was friendly but no one was wearing mask. Mo was assessed by staff who said she had full cognition even though she was there for confusion and had to be explained 8 times what they were doing

This place and the employees are a JOKE! Filthy rooms, disgusting food LOUSY care. I reported numerous incidents when my Mom was here...one med tech referred to a patient as an"old sob" I heard This! I can go on and on even mention my Mom's unexplained black eye or the employees helping themselves to her snacks/sodas or her being denied or monitored on the house phone Just simply RUN if you care about your people. FIND ANOTHER FACILITY Since relocating my Mom she has become healthier and happier. Signed; disgusted Daughter

I feel this facility is horribly understaffed and too many of the staff don't care enough to provide good care. My mom has been here a week and hasn't seen a doctor. I don't get a sense that there is a recovery plan or a plan for her release. If nobody sees her then how do they know if she's improving. They also don't seem to be working on some of her important issues. After a run-in with a nurse or CNA today who was incredibly rude, we have taken steps to get her out of here ASAP. The administration has been courteous and helpful in that process. I am grateful for that. I am also grateful that the rude nurse has left for the day and we don't have to worry about retaliation overnight.

Awful and herindous place. My mother was suppose to be there for 5 days for rehab. Her rehab only consisted of 30 minutes a day of walking. The rest of her day was spent in her bed. Bed sores were starting to appear. She asked the nurse at 7 pm if someone could help her change her bottoms because she went to the bathroom in them. At midnight someone finally came in to change her. 5 hours in soiled pants. They left her sit on the toilet onennight for an hour because they forgot she was on the toilet. They took her clothes to be washed in the laundry room and lost all of her clothes. This place is a complete joke.

He actually ended up in the hospital, and from the hospital he went directly to rehab. From rehab. he was transferred over to their skilled care, and that is where he is now. Suffice it to say that I was trying to transfer him out of Parkwood. They considered him combative, and the home that I would like to transfer him to will not be able to accept him because he has become combative. I affirm that the reason he has become combative is because nobody answers his call light. So no, I would not recommend it. I like the day time nurses, and the CNAs on days and evenings are very good with him. The only problem he has is the night shift. The food is very good, but the cleanliness is moderate. He drooled some red Jell-O, and it was on the floor for four days before it got cleaned up. I do have some problem with the cleaning though. Since I complained directly to the girl who did the cleaning, they have been a little more responsive. I wrote a letter of concern to the Director of Nurses, and she did not respond to me at all. I am not happy there. They have done enough charting now that we can't get him anywhere else. We are stuck there, and they are stuck with him whether they like him or not. I am a retired nurse, and I have worked in nursing homes, so I know how they should work. The nursing leadership and the cleaning can improve. It all boils down to supervision and what the supervisors are looking for with their staff. That goes for the cleaning and the nursing.

It's a nice facility, but I didn't really think that the nursing care was that good at Parkwood. It didn't do my friend any harm, but I don't think they really did much to take care of him either.
