I didn't get to see any of the common areas at Baldwin House Oakland, because they weren't centrally located. My mother had a hip replacement not that long ago and she had to walk so far to get down to the apartment that they were going to show her. She was exhausted and couldn't walk around anymore on the tour. Other than that, the apartments were big and very nice. The woman giving us the tour was nice and friendly. The other staff seemed to be nice and friendly, too.

My friend is a resident of Baldwin House Oakland. They have a friendly staff and a clean environment. The residents seem to be very cordial. After talking with them, and having visited the location, we are extremely satisfied with it. If I were to, I would choose that location because of our visit there, the one time. On the day we went, they were offering a type of activity that was considered to be a Motown revue with chili dogs, and soda pop, even wine. They have different activities for the residents within the location. The activities were on site, inside, and out in the property gardens, and they do it regularly. They gave us a gift package to take home, so that was nice. They have a workout room and a pool room. I did not see the library, but I saw a chapel. The grounds are very attractive, and the building was very neatly maintained. They did call back to ask if we were interested. They had a question-and-answer activity, can you name that tune or something. Being from Detroit, I could name most of the Motown tunes. Compared to others that I called, their rates are very competitive. I would think they rank into with other facilities who were much higher in cost. Theirs is more reasonable and as good.

We went to Baldwin House Oakland. I liked everything about it. There wasn't anything that I didn't care for. It was very clean and very lovely inside. The people were extremely friendly and helpful. The staff were very kind and very giving of their time. They had great attention to detail even to the point when we toured the apartment, they had a note there welcoming my mom. They had everything that I was looking for. They had a dining area, they had a salon, they had laundry, and they had a bus to take you places.

I'm at Baldwin House Oakland. I've been here for over a year now. The experience is very good although they went through four cooks in a year. Food was not good for a year. Everything else is fine, and the food is getting better. The staff is wonderful. They redo all the rooms when somebody moves in, so it's like a fresh, brand-new apartment. I have a one-bedroom, and it has a stove and a refrigerator. They provide meals here. It has a bedroom and it's carpeted. It's nice. They've got a workout room, a pool room, a game room, and a chapel. For activities, they have bingo, horse racing, and Wii almost every day of the week, and they have a movie theater where they show movies.

We went here. They have a pool table, poker, a small library, and they'll bus out people to the grocery store and to the mall when they can. The dining area felt warm. I would dine there.
