My Mother is their. The service is bad. The food a dog would not eat, they give them cold food. They do not get showers for weeks. They do not change their beds. Their is one nurse on the week ends. They do not have adequate staff to run the place. The hallways reeks of urine. I sure my mom pays a hefty price to live there. When she complains about constipation they tell her they will be right back and comes 3 hours later. They change her every three hours. The doctor changes her medication. The place has a lot of residents and not enough staff to support their needs. Something needs to be done about this facility. The reviews are true and accurate. The rooms are clean when I visit. They staff that their are respectful. They do have a schedule of activities for the month. Only amenities I see is hiring adequate staff and nurses that enjoys working with seniors. I see no volunteers their at all.

My sister is in Regency at Waterford. I wouldn't have chosen it but it was the only one that, with her criteria, could take it and they're doing a nasty job. She doesn't get fed. She has to wait two hours to go to the bathroom. I had to go and give her a sponge bath. She hadn't had a shower at that point in two weeks. I don't want anybody else to go through that. It used to be a decent place, but now, they don't have enough staff, and that's their excuse for everything. You can't eat the food; it's horrible. My sister has lost 50 pounds in the last two months because she's sending the food back. I looked at her plate one day and it was supposed to be cauliflower and it was light brown. I couldn't even tell they were scalloped potatoes. I didn't even try them. I just looked at them. They put gravy on ham and they threw her dinner roll in the gravy. That was all yucky. She hasn't been in any activity because they haven't let her out of her room. They keep saying she's on COVID restrictions, but I said she's been there two months. I guess they had music there one day, but we didn't find out about it until later. It's not been a good experience. All I do is I go in there and go to her room. I've gone to the business offices and Social Services and the director. When I brought her back from the hospital, I wound up going into her room and cleaning all her furniture, spraying Lysol, and cleaning her windows. They do a bad job cleaning, in her room at least. I had to call them to take her to the bathroom after she's put her light on 14 times. I had to put her in the hospital because her toes were turning blue and she had a breakdown under her breast and in her groin area. She had a urinary tract infection. She was in the hospital for two weeks after being there for about a month. I'm just not happy. They don't do care. She wants a cup of hot tea, and she's lucky if she gets it and it's never hot. The care is awful. I had to tell them to check her legs to find a blood clot. This is just not a good situation. They started passing dinner at 5:00 yesterday, and she didn't get it until 7:00. Naturally, it's cold and her ice cream is always melted when she gets it. It's one issue after another. They've taken her pension, her Social Security, and Medicaid, and they won't give me a statement of what they get for Medicaid or what they're charging them. They're getting $3000 from her every month and I don't know what they're charging Medicaid, but that's way too much money for the services she is not getting.

My husband is bedbound. He cannot even sit up without help. He was there for 4 days of respite care. Came home with an inflamed coccyc area, two small open wounds (bed sores), and blood sugar after lunch of 274. I don't believe he was ever turned from side to side to prevent the bed sores. When the hospice aide came to bath him, his roommate tried to get out of bed and fell. She put on my husband's light and no one came. She went to the nurses station and they were all standing around talking and told them his roommate had fallen and hit his head. My husband's skin was perfect before he went in. Very upset does not begin to describe my feelings.

My uncle is at Regency at Waterford for rehab. He was there first for three weeks, then he came out for a day and went back to the hospital, and now he's been back again for a week now. I haven't been able to get in because right now he is in quarantine for two weeks. When he got out the first time, he complained about the food, and his wallet also got lost. He had to go out for dialysis so it could have happened then; he used to carry it in his pocket. The second time he went in, I dropped off a bag with his clothes, his hearing aids, and a shaver. His hearing aids were in a case. There were three of them in there, and two of them have gone missing since I dropped them off. I'm kind of not happy about that. I've just been in the front door; they don't let me go any farther, but I've talked to the social worker a bit on the phone. I've also talked to the nurses, and they were helpful and answered my questions. The social worker is nice, too. When the wallet went missing, they did replace it and the $60 that he said he had in there, so that was nice of them, I guess. He complained about the food, but I don't know how accurate he is. He said every breakfast was eggs. He gets tired of that stuff. He also complained about rice and beans being served every meal. From the front door, I think the facility is nice. The building is nice. The place is easy to get to, and they do transport him to dialysis, so that was good.

My mom is in the hospital fighting for her life right now because of the extreme neglect she endured during the Covid shut down. If you ask for anything, you will be told yes and it wont happen. If you call you will passed around the building 3 times because no one knows anything. They lie to you. I was told my mom didn't have a window, I asked to FaceTime..no one ever called. My mom was severely dehydrated, her teeth were broken, her hair matted. This place is hell on earth. She was fine before the shut down.

My sister was moved there by St. JOSEPH and without the family's permission. My didn't get any breakfast that morning. When I got there, she said that she was hungry and I asked her if she had breakfast. It was 11am. I talked to several people about it and nobody knew anything. They are not caring at all. They don't introduce themselves to the family. This place needs to be shut down.

My parent is a resident here and it's terrible my parent is in worst shape than we she arrived I've should have checked reviews 1st I feel terrible that I sent her there I'm so regretful

The location Is great, The carpet In room dirty, The bathroom sink Nasty, The furniture Dusty, The chairs are Stained, The staff from tbe front door to the back are very UNPROFESSIONAL [they] do not greet, speak or Introduce themselves to patients or family. They sits at the nurse station and IGNORE call lights. The state and Fox 2 Detroit needs to send some people In there undercover with a Hidden camera to EXPOSE them and put them on the Hall of SHAME.

They need extra people to sit and bond with residents. My Loved one felt isolated, homesick, and ignored when she asked to go to the bathroom she was left in her wheel chair in the hallway... she asked TWO people to take her back to her room (after they brought her back from therapy and then just stopped halfway to her room "parking" her with a bunch of eldery patients that were inneed of much more supervision and care than her) it made her feel really old, really forgotten about, like a bother because she was there for rehab, and she just did not like it there, and also caught an infection during her stay.

This place is constant under staff and the rooms and the resident rooms are never clean. My family went for antibiotics I V treatment and got worst with a unitary tract infect which caused confusion. Family wasn't able to progress in therapy until the meds were reviewed by me and they had my family member doped up on meds because they didn't want to deal with the confusion by the time the meds were asked to be discounted she had used up her Medicare days and was discharged home with no mobility and couldn't walk. The therapy department stated she had reached her maximum progress and suggested to send her to long term care.

This was Mom's 3rd time in Regency. We feel the facility is very good as far as location, cleanliness and re-hab. Our problem is the lack of staff (nursing) to record lab and test results. I think six days is too long not to have results available on their computer system. How can they respond to problems if they don't know the results. I also asked many times to have a urine test done and every time they agreed to do it but it never got done. After spending one whole day telling them something was wrong, and knowing the signsof her health problems we asked many times to have her temp taken every 30 minutes. They took it at 1:30 pm and did not come back until after 4:00 in the afternoon. At 8:00 that night they finally agreed she needed to be sent to the hospital. It turned out she had a UTI and a blood clot in her leg.

Terrible experience. My dad was here for roughly 10 days and actually got progressivly worse until finally we had to call 911 and have him transported by ambulance to a local hospital where after only 4 days he is now home. They do have a few good people including Dennis, Rita, and Brenda, however they are seriously understaffed, lack much medical supervision, and unless where were present we felt he wasn't getting an adequate level of care.

My dad is at the Regency of Waterford and I'm pretty much satisfied. It's just that they don't have enough help at night and they're too busy during this time. For whatever reasons, they scheduled one of their best people only twice a week, so he quit and I'm not very happy about that.We're very fortunate that we got to be there and I love the nurses, without a shadow of a doubt. My only concern is that I have to know that everything's been properly buttoned down at night before I leave my dad and go home in peace.
