Woodland Village Senior Community is excellent. Once I walked in there and met with Debbie, it just had a good vibe to it. It's a great place. It felt good from the time we walked in the door. The rooms are excellent. I had lunch with mom yesterday and the food was good (the menus are always good). They take good care of her. They do activities every day. She enjoys the church activities and the puzzles. They also have a little band/musicians that come in. She enjoys all that. The staff are very, very friendly and attentive.

Woodland Village Senior Community is hospital affiliated. All employees are immunized. They have lots of activities. It has some church sponsorship, so it's a little expanded community there. That's probably what we were leaning towards for mom.
It was a little older building. It was not as nice as some of the others, but there is construction in multiple areas. They're remodeling whenever they get a vacancy, so I think they're making some effort towards improvement.
They had very good cookies. My mother has friends who live there, and they're out and about in the community through visits, shopping, bible study and all. There's an outdoor area where everybody goes to walk. The rooms were fairly standard.

Woodland Village Senior Community was very good. That would be my domestic partner's first choice only because they have a community of visually impaired people. He lost his sight two years ago. They had a dozen or more visually impaired, sight challenged people for a number of years. That would be very comfortable for him. Unfortunately, they have no facilities available at all for him. I think they have two rooms left to renovate and they've done a beautiful job renovating. What we liked about it, was it was so bright and so open, with a beautiful outdoor patio to eat off of, lots of wildlife all around, and beautiful trails to walk on with an aide. It was gorgeous. It's very pretty, way back from the road, and very quiet. We liked it. The staff was wonderful. Debbie was so kind and so caring and the medical person came in. She spent a considerable amount of time with him, reassuring him about the whole drug regimen, and that they would be able to handle it. No headaches for him, that was good. We were there late morning, and they were getting ready for lunch. A lot of people were going to the dining room, we asked about the food and they said, it's wonderful, but we didn't see an actual activity. It was just beautiful. The setting is lovely. It's an older facility, but they have completely revamped it, and it's very up to date.

I did a tour of Woodland Village, and that one I did not like at all. The place is outdated, and it needs a lot of capital to be invested in there to make it look nice. It's just it's a very low-end place. The lady who took me around was very nice.
The place is just not good, it's very outdated. I'm sure the price reflected all that too. These places are still $5,000 a month no matter what you do. It's like they haven't spent any money on that facility.
They have three meals a day. They have the shuttle busses, transportation, and activities there. They clean the apartment twice a month. It just needs work.

I like Woodland Village. The person who gave us the tour was very nice. It was nice. They're renovating it, so there was a lot of construction going on while we were going through it. They're updating the rooms right now. It has all the amenities that you would want. They have transportation; it's like a little bus. They have a theater, walk-out patios or balconies, and a washer and dryer available. You have to go down to the room, but you can use the washer and dryer for free. They also have housekeeping and linen service. They have restaurant-style dinner. It was very nice.
They're renovating, so it's going to be nicer when they get it done. It's just it needed updating. The ceilings are really low and it's dark, so they're lightening it up with paint and more lighting. The staff was very friendly, nice, and very helpful.

Woodland Village was great. They were excellent. Everyone we talked to was very nice. It was absolutely stunning inside; it was wonderful. We're very happy with it. The lady who showed me around was wonderful. She was really kind; she was very nice. I saw two apartments. In one apartment everything was brand new, and it was beautiful. However, we thought the second apartment might be best for my dad because it was more in the back against the trees. There was a little slope there and just a touch of a hill, so I didn't think it would be good for my dad walking the dog there. Everyone seemed happy there. It was excellent. My parents' pastor is at Woodland a lot and they liked that idea. They just opened the dining area. It looked really nice, but I couldn't go in except to go see the apartments. The staff was really kind and seemed to be very caring about the people. They provided very personal service.

The people at Woodland Village are helpful getting everything set up. Its clean and reasonable, and they got nice facilities. They take them places, they have gatherings and people coming in to play music, just various different things. My mom likes the food.

We visited Woodland Village. The rooms were clean, open, and very nice. The lady who took us around was very informative, showed us everything, and gave us a lot of information. They had puzzles placed around in various areas, so people could come out of their rooms to work on them. They had a little library area where people could sit and read books. They had nice grounds outside, plus some nice flowers. There was a mass going on in the chapel and lunch going on in one of the rooms.

The quality of care and just plan kindness has become poor. My father is dieing and rather than make his day special, they isolated my family in a room by ourselves rather than seat us in the main dining area. Our reservations were made on the first day possible. When questioned we were told that's the way it was. No effort or kindness was shown to my father.

Terrible care. High turn over rate of un qualified aids. There are a few good ones but they move on. Food is average at best, plan on waiting a while. Very lean staffed all around. Minimum services at maximum price. House cleaning is bad no "light dusting". No duty "Nurse" as told. When management questioned, issues not addressed. Can't wait to move mother out. It's all about the money here. 4 levels dollar wise 1 level care wise, Low!

The rooms at the Sanctuary at Woodland were set up in such a crazy way. What I liked the very best about it was the entrance from the freeway. It sits right behind a hospital and a lot of doctors' offices, and the drive into it was beautiful. The road was all tree lined with lots of trees, lots of nature, and little ponds. The people who showed me through were nice. As far as living there, I would go absolutely out of my mind because of the layout. Every hallway was curved, so everything was like a zigzag to go from one place to the other. I don’t know how they even built it. The outside of the building had a green roof and a white walls that was just very unattractive. When you drive up, it gives you kind of an eerie feeling. The Sanctuary is mostly Catholic run. They had activities but not as many as the other ones. They had several rosary meetings and church meetings in a beautiful church set up with a lot of Bible studies. It was geared toward the Catholic people and for people who want that kind of living, it would be really nice. It was run in a good way, clean, had super nice people, and the residents seemed very happy. They had a lot to offer people, but I wouldn’t want to go there; it’s not my preference.

I chose the Sanctuary because it is a licensed facility and had both independent living and assisted living. They are very neat and clean. I haven't tried their food, but my mother has, and she is very pleased. She has a continental breakfast and then one meal during the day. Lots of activities -- shopping, partying, crafts, Bingo, trip services. The staff members are very friendly and very helpful.

Service has been excellent at Sanctuary at Woodland. They provide me with a warm greeting everyday. They give me the assistance I need. The staff in the dining room are very accommodating, and the food is good. They mostly have single apartments, and there are some two bedrooms that have kitchens and showers. They have a staff that takes care of the cleaning, and I'm kind of spoiled that way. We have bingo at least once or twice a week, movies, and different groups come in to either sing or dance. We had a gentleman who owns quite a few animals and reptiles who came in with 10 of them and did a special show, and it was fun.

We chose Sanctuary at Woodland for our relative. It is an older place, but well kept. The grounds are fantastic. The people are nice. It used to be a golf course, so there is water, and there are benches, so that's a big attraction.
The person who does sales was a darling and helpful. It's a no pressure place. They are realistic. They didn't make promises they couldn't keep, and they kept all their promises. I highly recommend it.
They have three meals a day. The big meal is at noon, which is good for older people. The food setup is great. It's dog friendly. Transportation is wonderful. They take them to doctors and ball games. It is very user friendly.

I heard that Sanctuary had a lot of better care because they were associated with a hospital in Howell. I knew they had good medical care. As far as the place, it wasn't that beautiful. Except that you would like the setting. It was by a pond and it was very pretty outside. The rooms were clean and they looked good.

We liked that Woodland was smaller than other independent facilities. It had very nice ambience and the area was very pretty. Its living room was very good and the staff was good but I would not necessarily recommend this facility.

I like the Sanctuary at Woodland. It's clean, it doesn't smell, and it's close to where I live. My dad likes the food a lot. They have activities like bingo and they even took the men to a restaurant.
