I had a very nice tour at Riley's Grove Assisted Living & Memory Care. It's only two years old and so it's a beautiful facility, and the apartment was extremely well thought out and designed. There was nothing that I didn't like about Riley's Grove, I felt it was a state-of-the-art facility. The staff who gave the tour was very generous, very informative, and very cordial. I didn't have a meal there, but the dining area was beautiful, it's large and open, has a very high ceiling, is very gracious, and looks outdoors. I think it's a nice experience for the residents to get away from their apartment, to get into a much larger space. They have a walking path outdoors that sort of goes around the whole facility.

Riley's Grove Assisted Living & Memory Care is a very nice community. The rooms were very nicely appointed. They looked like regular apartments. They had very nice grounds behind them. They had different levels of care, so my mother would only be paying for the level of care that she needs at the time. It was a good price point compared to some of the others. The staff members all seemed very nice, and everyone I interacted with was very positive. It was a good interaction. I was left with a positive impact from the staff. The only thing that's frustrating is that they don't have any availability right now, but I was impressed by the place. The person who gave the tour was very helpful and answered all the questions.

Riley’s Grove is a home of love & caring. The size of 30 rooms for Assisted Living & 14 Memory Care Units is just right to foster a family environment. Knowing the residents and the staff, we have become a family where you get the attention and care you deserve in your senior years. For the staff it is not just a job - it is a loving commitment in looking lafter others with the care they would want for their family. The facility & grounds are absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are spacious and there are a number of options to choose from. The facility maintenance is first rate & they are always prompt in any needs which may arise. I absolutely love the cooks - they take pride in the presentation and taste of the food they prepare. I’ve rated every area with 5 stars because if Riley’s Grove was a hotel it would have a five star rating.

Everyone at Riley’s Grove are wonderful! The entire staff are so very friendly and it doesn’t take long for them to get to know each individual, making the transition of moving in very comforting for both the resident and their family. There are various activities all throughout the day for all who wish to participate, all printed out for the residents on a monthly calendar, which makes it easy for them to follow. Activities like group singing, daily exercises, outdoor games, bingo, trivia, crafts and so much more. Not a day goes by without activities planned. The rooms are very comfortable and is exactly all the residents would need. They are very clean and quiet! Laundry service is provided which was a great help for us! Riley’s Grove is such a beautiful place and to know that your loved one is treated with love and dignity unconditionally! The decision to move my mother here was the best decision I could have ever made for her!

The staff is excellent! They provide great support to my mother and communicate well with our family. The chef prepares very good meals, and is accommodating to my mother's tastes. if there is an area for improvement, it would be cleaning the room including floors and sinks.

Our dad was not happy about going into a “home” but he could not live alone. It took about 3 months and he now he absolutely loves it. The staff is amazing. They keep the residents busy with fun things to do throughout the week. The social aspect is so good for him… the residents enjoy each other… they sit out in the courtyard in the spring and summer and love it. The food, which was a big concern for him, is excellent. The menu is so appropriate for the older people they are serving. Dad’s room is perfect for him… nice big windows, beautiful bathroom, small fridge counter etc. It is a beautiful facility! Sunday church service, special outings, bingo, crafts, family events, etc. are just a few things that are offered. The director makes sure we are kept informed about everything. We absolutely love it! Most importantly, dad is happy and content.

It was lovely at Riley's Grove Assisted Living & Memory Care. It's a very nice facility. It's very light and bright. It's in a nice setting that's more suburban or rural than the other two. They weren't on the main street, so they had a lot of grounds that were just well-manicured and pretty. The staff was very helpful and responsive. They had lots of activities listed similar to the other facility. They get their residents out as often as they want to get out to various activities. I specifically asked about places they might go including going to Meijer Gardens here in Grand Rapids, and the staff said, that was one of the favorite places for people to go. It sounds like they get people out and about as well as having activities within the facility. The rooms were light and bright like the facility itself. They had a choice of rooms with either a slider to the outside with a patio or a bay window.

I love Riley's Grove Assisted Living & Memory Care. That's where I would like to move my mom if I do move her. I thought they were wonderful. I toured the assisted living and the memory care. The people were very, very welcoming. It's a relatively new building. Everything was very open. It was very homey. They have a lot of amenities. The rooms were laid out a little bit nicer than where she's at. They have a beauty shop where she's at and Riley's has a beauty shop, too, but she also does nails, which my mother would love. If we were to have a family party like a taco party or something, we could come in and dine in the room that they have that is separate from their dining room. It was a gated community, so being that she has dementia (We are not sure if she has Alzheimer's yet), she would be pretty safe. Safety is my biggest concern. The dining room was very nice. I looked at the menu and it looked very nice. The location is wonderful. It's pretty centrally located for me because I live in Hamilton. The other thing is that they do a lot of activities with their people, and they take them on a lot of outings. The other day, the residents participate in a walkathon for Alzheimer's, and I thought that was special. A local business donated money that if they walk, they will get this money. The man who's in charge took all of these patients that were able out, and they had a really wonderful time. The staff who walked me through was wonderful. My mom has a little dog, and they don't have any dogs right now, they have a couple of cats, but one of the apartments we toured had a little patio cement slab outside the slider and they said that they would be willing to put a little fence up there for her dog. They were just absolutely wonderful and went out of their way to be accommodating.

Wonderful staff & facility. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. Within one hour of my father moving in, everyone stopped to introduce themselves and welcome him. The next day, any staff not working the day before did the same thing. They get to know the resident, their likes, dislikes, and take the time to talk to them. They are very prompt at answering when residents push their pendant. Staff also gets to know the family and keeps them well informed. The entire facility gives a calming, home feeling. Always fresh smelling (no odors) and well kept. Lots of windows. Security is tight but not obvious. They follow COVID protocols to keep residents safe but again its not obvious...just part of the structure. Lots of variety in the food menu. They always have a standard list of food if you don't like the menu item. Kitchen staff know the residents and interact with them at meal time. Lots of opportunities to get involved with activities but never pushed. Everyone receives a personal invite to activities. The facility tour was very informative. They answered my questions before I could ask them. No pressure from the staff during the tour. I visited on my own and than returned for a second & third visit and they were always welcoming and open to questions. If you are considering assisted living, please make Riley's Grove one of your visits.

Beautiful new facility. Mom feels like she moved to a new “condo” not a room. But more than the wonderful accommodations is the AMAZING STAFF!!! We are so pleased fo have them taking care of mom :) They work so hard to meet the residents needs on every level.

My Mom went there this past spring for respite care so I could go on Spring Break with my husband. At the end of the two weeks, she did not want to leave! She loved it and she is happy and socializing! The interactions with others has changed her immensely; her Alzheimer's disease has not advanced. In fact, in my non-medical opinion, being a part of this caring community has reversed some of her symptoms!! Riley's Grove has changed our lives!

We chose Riley's Grove for our parents for many reasons. The size of the apartments allowed us to make it feel more home like helping calm their anxiety of moving to a new place. The indoor and outdoor gathering areas encourage residents to meet new friends and mingle for events such as watching the Tigers game on the large TV, complete with snacks and penants or the patio dessert and music hour. The staff is extremely approachable and very understanding of the challenges of assisted living and are always offering encouragement to the residents and are ready to answer any questions family members may have. We have been kept informed of any issues or potential health concerns they may notice. Even discussing the little things such as different dinner utensils to make eating easier for my mom. Overall, we are very satisfied with the care and value Riley's Grove is providing for our parents.

The staff has always been exceedingly helpful & friendly. The facility is spacious & warm & truly feels like a nice home a resident would eagerly choose, & friends & relatives would gladly visit. There are a wide variety of interesting activities for mature adults, as opposed to other facilities that tend to only offer modified preschool arts & crafts. The musical activities seem to be the most appreciated.

My mother is in Riley's Grove Assisted Living. There has been no negatives so far. We are super happy with. The staff is fantastic, super friendly and caring, and they share pictures with us and updates on mom. The food is great and mom loves it. It seems like a very family oriented atmosphere, and it has been great for mom and great for us when we visit. The staff is so friendly and so caring. They seem to really go above and beyond just her basic needs. They are caring about her spiritual needs, and they just seem very loving. Every time somebody visits, mom says, "The food is great!" It is brand new; it is beautiful; it is clean. They have activities almost every day. They have an exercise class, which she participates in. We got a nice discount for mom being one of the first ten residents to move in.
