Holiday Aurora Pond was very nice. The staff was friendly, and the residents seemed very happy and content. They are remodeling, which is not an issue because it will be done here shortly. We are considering that one. The rooms were very nice, spacious, and well set up. They have a variety of options in the rooms. Some residents were playing cards, there was a Catholic church service, and they have a very nice library. Overall, the facility was very nice. There is no cooking because all meals are provided. There is a medical facility on site that is a separate charge, but that is available for someone.

My husband has moved into Holiday Aurora Pond. He's only been here for two weeks now, and so far, it's OK. The staff is very pleasant. The people here are very nice. They don't offer assisted living. They only offer independent living, but they have what they call AdvisaCare. They come and help him get to bed, help him to shower, or if he needs to be taken down for lunch or breakfast or something, they'll help him. He has a one-bedroom, and it's a nice little room. The meals are decent and have a good variety. Something is going on every day. Today, there's a carnival, there was a tie-dye, and they have movie nights, Scrabble, and different activities. The atmosphere was very nice. They were a little expensive though. The grounds are beautiful.

I toured Aurora Pond. They have very nice people. It was a nice tour. The staff were wonderful. The place was very nice and very clean. The staffer that showed me around did a good job. She answered all the questions, and she was very helpful. She showed me a cottage. They were very nice and were a nice size. It was very light and roomy. They were eating lunch when I was there, and everybody seemed to be enjoying their meal. It's very clean and very well kept.

Aurora Pond is very homey inside. My sister is there and they have a lot of activities for them. It's really pretty. It has a little walking sidewalk and it's in a convenient location. It's right next to Walgreens. The staff is wonderful, knowledgeable, and helpful. They do card games, and movie nights and a violinist is playing for them, like a little concert. The apartments are set up nicely. They all have little outside balcony areas or patios. There are a lot of windows and so it's bright. It is great.

Aurora Pond was very friendly, and there was a lot of interaction between the staff and the residents there. It was very clean. They were just finishing having the best banana bread contest. As I was leaving, they were starting to do the taste samples and announce the winner, and I thought that was kind of cute. I like the amenities. The only thing that I was kind of against is that, for religious services, they only have Catholic. They said they have a non-denominational one, but since COVID hit, they've had a hard time trying to get the other one to come back. They have a large library, and they have a salon there for men and women. The staff were very much a team on there. They were always talking with each other and updating each other on how things were going. The room was nice, and it was updated. They also said they were updating more of the rooms, too. They have a walking trail around the building, and they were going to be adding flowers to make it a little more attractive. They're independent living and they also have another company onsite for those people that need additional help for assisted living. Their food was delicious, too.

Aurora Pond seemed to be the most fitting for me. I saw a couple of apartments and I'm taking practically the smallest of them. I like the location. They have some entertainment, and they have some things for the people that live there. I had a very good feeling. I like the atmosphere and the location. It was the best. They have bingo, music, and book groups. I asked them if they had a ping-pong table because I'm a ping-pong person and they said they can have it because somebody else has requested it, too. They were open to my questions. It fits my needs the most, and I've read the comments that people have made (online). The apartment was very nice. It's plenty big for me. If you need some extra help, they can it arrange for you (if you like medications and something like that). The lady that showed me around was fantastic. She showed several sites and she said this place is not the newest, but it's in fantastic condition. They have a bus that can take you to doctors' appointments. I ate lunch with them. Everything seemed OK. It's a very good place.

My parents-in-law moved into Aurora Pond, and the staff there is amazing, very friendly, and helpful. They care about the people there. I was just very impressed with the whole situation. They got me in right away to look at everything, and it was a done deal. The rooms are very nice. I know the building is twenty-something years old, but you'd never know it. The rooms are very nice, and they have lots of different choices, so that was nice. My in-laws ended up in a condo, and they've just put down new flooring. That is everything we could have asked for. The staff is just beyond helpful and friendly. I guess it is really not assisted; they are in the condo part, so they are not in the main building. They do have the option to move to the main building when they need to be there. They're independent, but they have help there 24/7 if needed. Their first meal there was Easter lunch, and they loved it. They are very efficient, they get the people served in a timely fashion, and they are very happy with it. I know they offer a variety of activities; I've witnessed some. They have movies, games, and different themes, but my in-laws have not participated in that yet. They have a beauty salon my mother-in-law is looking forward to, and housekeeping comes to their condo once a week, which was very nice, because they really need it. They seem to be very happy there.

My parents moved into Aurora Pond. It's independent, and what we do is purchase services that we need for assisted living. They have their meals supplied to them, but right now they don't have a caregiver doing anything out for them. I'm very happy, it's well-managed, the staff is very helpful, and is really great about answering any questions, and making my dad feel comfortable and welcome. It's very clean, the food service is very good, and we're very pleased. Christine is the manager, she's very attentive to everything. If I have a question about something they respond to it quickly. They have a one-bedroom apartment there, it's very nice, we moved in, it has new carpeting, freshly painted, all new vinyl flooring, everything is functioning, everything is clean, they have a cleaning service twice a week, that's part of their rent payment, and it's just super nice. They liked the food, my parents are picky eaters, so it's hard for me to judge things. My mom has not been there yet, she's still in the rehabilitation center, but my dad has been doing well, eating, the food comes to him, because of COVID, they are all limited to the dining room, but he seems to be eating everything and doing well. I like the security of knowing that they're with other people in the building, it's automatic that he has one of those alert systems that he has to wear all the time right there. I just like everything about it. Everybody has just been great, and I like everything that's going on.

Aurora Pond and their staff are amazing people. They continue to impress me with their warmth, compassion and attentiveness. Since the previous chef left, however, combined with the pandemic, the quality and variety of meals has taken a significant down turn. I have heard Mom (and several of the people she chats with) express this same sentiment. Perhaps a survey of what each resident would like to see on the menu (modified as necessary by a nutritionist) would turn around this issue.

We looked at Aurora Pond. I just peeked through the window since we couldn't really look because of COVID. The tour was very good. Kristen was very nice and very informative. She was very welcoming, and she was amazing. From what I could tell, the layout looked nice. I think my mother would be happy in that location if she wanted to try and find a place.

Aurora Pond was excellent, and it was fairly new. When I arrived, they had entertainment going with a brass band, and I enjoyed that. It seemed to be a very active community. The staff member that showed me around was excellent. They have a library and an exercise room.

I liked Aurora Pond very much. The meal we had was very good. I saw a room that I liked, which was a small studio. It was just far too expensive for me. The facility looked very nice and the people were nice. The staff took me around and we looked at places and various rooms. She took us into the dining room and set us a meal and that was very nice.

My dad moved in three months ago at Aurora Pond. When I was in the crisis of trying to find a place for my dad, they went above and beyond to get him in that day. I was really impressed. The food is excellent, and the staff is very kind, considerate, and super helpful. The rooms were beautiful, and my dad has beautiful windows in his room. It’s very nice and perfect for what we needed. The general manager and the sales lady went above and beyond.

I liked that the independent living at Aurora Pond was in little cottages separate from the main building. They had arts and crafts, an exercise room, entertainment coming in for different programs, social times where they bring a band in, and a shuttle to take residents to the mall or to doctors' appointments.

Aurora Pond was very good. The staff was awesome and answered every question we had. It was very clean, and the staff looked friendly. Security seemed very good, and the price was good. The girl who gave us the tour told us about the different activities, like exercise classes, and I think they had a small gym.

Aurora Pond had separate main floor cottages that were very nice and quite large. They were more like big condos with a garage, two bedrooms, a full kitchen, laundry, and a grassy backyard which was very nice. In the main building for the assisted living, I saw a corner room that I thought was very small and only had a small kitchenette, a living room, a tiny bedroom, and a bath. They had a library there and a salon, different crafts in their crafts room, Wii going on, a pool, and ping pong. They had lots of nice things for people to do. It looked a little run down and a little bit more clinical. The staff was really good, answered all of my questions, and had good paperwork for me to check on. I had an appointment, but I did have to wait for the staff for a little while.

Aurora Pond was really nice, and I liked it, but the only downfall was the cost. I liked the size of the rooms. You can get a decent amount of furniture in there, and some of them have showers. It's the first one I considered moving my dad into.

Aurora Pond is very beautiful. I was treated by the staff very well during my visit. They showed me one of the rooms that had like a little balcony; it was just wonderful. I wasn’t able to eat there, but from what I could see and smell, I can tell that it was a quality meal that they were serving. They have activities. Definitely, the place is very nice.

The very first place we looked at was Aurora Pond. It was older, and the facility wasn’t quite as up to date. It was kind of dark and dingy when you walk through the hallways. It’s just wasn’t appealing. It didn’t fit with what my mother needed, and it was more than what we wanted to pay.

We are currently living at one of the cottages at Aurora Pond. I have two bedrooms, two beds, a full kitchen, and attached garage; it's like a condo. The security is very adequate, but they need to have better food. They have lots and lots of activities.

Aurora Pond is a very beautiful place, but it is quite expensive. They have speakers come in, special holidays, barbecues, programs, pool, and balls. I like the fact that they have little townhouses where you have your own independent space rather than just a hotel or apartment type thing. You have your own private door to go in and out of. They serve three meals -- breakfast, lunch, and dinner -- which is part of the package. It's a little too steep, but they give really nice service. They cater to you, and they give you all their attention.

Aurora Pond is a very nice place, it is newer, and they are wonderful people. I had nothing but good contact with them whenever I had to talk to them. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Everybody is just really happy. They do Bingo two nights a week, and transportation is readily available at all times, they've got games all the time; they are just as busy as they want to be. I don't have anything that I would change. They are very good, they keep looking in on them, and I don't have a bit of a problem with their security. I'd recommend it to anybody.

Aurora Pond has all the amenities I was looking for like transportation. They cook your meals which my parents would need. They need food prepared for them. Even though they are still independent, I wanted transportation for them, so they provide that. The rooms are very adequate. Even down to the one bedroom, I thought it has enough square footage to even get a King in the one bedroom plus the dressers. The bathroom is wide enough to get a wheelchair in there. It is very roomy even though it is one sink. They are very clean. They have housekeeping once a week, and there is a laundry facility. If you have an accident or something, you can always go down and tell somebody in the hall to help cleanup any mess. I think the décor is a little dated on the inside, but other than that, I think it is a great facility.

We placed my mom in Aurora Pond. She is very happy there. There are two reasons why we chose them: The price was reasonable and the staff is so darn nice. The facility is very nice. It is clean and well kept. It is very convenient. They have activities. They have excursions. They have a van that will take them to various places. They have musicians and comedians and the like come in to entertain people. They also have excellent food. The apartments are larger and nicer than the other facility.

The staff at Aurora Pond seemed very caring and interested in everybody's wellbeing. The residents seemed very satisfied and happy. The rooms are very good. They were setup nicely and everybody did their own thing. I would say it was very nice. We had lunch there, and the food was great. The dining room was every nice, and everybody could choose where they wanted to sit.

Mom loves Aurora Pond, she loves the social aspect of it, and if she were to need further services after independent they do have available if needed. It is probably for people that were more active and social. She loves the place, but she still does a lot of travel and maybe that is reason why she can’t decide yet. They have a little exercise room, a bus that takes residents to place, entertainment, a TV room where they show movies, a piano area, and a beautiful dining room. One of the managers takes us around and she was lovely, wonderful, very engaging, informative, and welcoming.

We really like Aurora Pond. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. Their facility was very nice. The only thing is, the price range is not what Mom could afford. That's the only reason we didn't go with them. The rooms were OK. They have cottages with a kitchen and a separated bedroom as well as a tub. They did not have anything available at the time that had a tub or separated full kitchen. So that's one of the issues that she had. But other than that, I rate them very high.

I moved in to Aurora Pond. I chose it because it is close to the area where I lived before and to my church. It is also close to my doctor, the hospital and the cancer clinic. The rooms are very nice and spacious. I really enjoy the exercise class that I have every morning of the week and there are also other activities. I am satisfied with the three meals they prepare for me particularly breakfast. If ever I don't like the main dish, there are other options to choose from. They have two sets of managers, which are two couples and they are both friendly and practically everybody like them. They are relaxed and they kid a little as they mingle with us. They attend to our needs well and I appreciate all four of them. I am very happy with my choice and satisfied with my situation.
