My dad is now in Evangelical Home doing rehab. It is great. He is doing occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy. They're great. Everybody has been wonderful. The nurses are great, the aides are great, and the people who work in the office are really great. It has been a really pleasant experience. They're doing a great job. I'm hoping that they will be able to keep him there after his rehab because it is such a lovely place. They all seem very nice and caring and they seem to be taking really good care of my dad.

Just a word of caution with this facility. Watch your loved ones very closely. Staff is overworked, uncaring and cranky. Management doesn't exist and complaints/concerns are ignored. Staff turn-a-round is high and level of care is poor at best. Their main concern is money and insurance, certainly not the patient.

My dad went to Evangelical Home – Saline. It's a huge but pleasant place. It's just a little confusing at first, so being huge is a drawback in some ways. Although they had good systems, there were too many people dealing with the patients during the course of the day. They have hundreds of residents and there are a lot of strange faces. They're perfectly good people, but they're not people you know. The food wasn't so good. They had movies about the life of Jesus, and a musician who came into hospice and would play the guitar and sing with the people. Some of the staff members were really good, and some not so good. The follow-through was difficult, but overall I was happy with them. They can improve on the communication between different members of the staff.

My sister really likes Evangelical Home - Sterling Heights. She rehabbed there, but they have memory care as well. You can be a full timer there, and they take Medicaid. She was in there twice for 30 days and 15 days. It was a nice facility with really good staff who were right there all the time. The food was good. There were a lot of people and a lot of things going on. She had to share a room. The staff seemed efficient and did their jobs. They had a lot of parking spots, but they were all filled.

My father was recently sent there for PT and OT rehabilitation. We could not say more about the care he received there. The nursing staff, PT, OT staff, as well as the administration and even housekeeping, were all friendly, upbeat and healthy. These people had many to care for yet we felt our needs were met every day. My father left feeling stronger and now has a plan set up for him to continue to gain strength and balance.

Evangelical Home was a really nice facility. The people in the memory care were doing a lot of activities, and I could just tell that they were all happy and seemed to be very well taken care of there. The rooms are pretty good. The room where my uncle is in faces south, so he gets the sun in the morning and in the afternoon. It is a nice facility.

What happened is my husband had another stroke, and he's in Evangelical Home now. They are a huge facility in the town where my church is one of their big supporters, so I've known about them for many years. They were also highly recommended to me, so I knew going in it was a good option. The staff is wonderful. The rooms are fine.

My mom-in-law is at Evangelical Homes of Michigan for about three weeks now. The facility is very clean and the staff was just wonderful. They have been really very helpful and accommodating. I really feel positive about this place. Me and my wife were really very impressed with this facility and we we're happy that mom is spending the last days of her life there.
