75 State Street is a great place, but not for my mother. It's very busy and very energetic, and my mother is very sedate, quiet, and needs a lot of assistance. We just didn't feel that it was right for her. The rooms felt basically the same with the same square footage. Everything looked fine, and the staff who gave the tour was also fine. They kept their seniors busy, but their seniors were much more lively than my mother. We didn't try any food, but the dining room looked fine and smelled wonderful. It seemed to be very well-run. It was well-maintained, and everybody seemed happy there.

We chose Seventy-Five State Street for my mother. The staff was very accommodating, and we all liked the accommodations, as well as the staff to resident ratio. They have efficiency rooms with private baths, and suites (which are private rooms with very small bedrooms and a private bath). The residents seemed very interactive, pleasant, and clean.

We were very, very impressed when we first went to Seventy-Five State Street. Extremely friendly and well-organized, very informative. We were just really appreciative with the concerns that they took, even to the point when we were moving in right down to the maintenance staff, helping us with everything we needed. After we had left, there were people who came and visited with my father to be sure he wasn't lonely or confused. They were all sitting in new wheelchairs and they had this big ball and they were passing it back and forth. They have movies and they have Wi-Fi bowling, lots of activities for elderly. We, as a family, have been very impressed with what they have done so far.

I can't tell you a lot about Seventy Five State Street. I can just tell you that it was a nice place and it was the place that my parents felt they would be comfortable living in. It was really a very nice place. I liked it a lot.

They were very affordable, and I liked that they were right in Portland near the hospital. I chose not to go with them because they could not provide the care my mother was looking for. It was an older building, and it did not seem as cheerful as some of the more modern facilities.
