My parents will be moving into Brentwood at Elkhart Assisted Living. It's very open, and they seem to be very caring. There are a lot of places to be able to walk within the building, and they're setting up some walkways outside the building, which was important to my parents. They have a variety of meals that they're offering, and that was important. They're able to do everything that we need to be done.
They're getting a one-bedroom apartment. Their bedroom is like 10 by 14, and their living room is 10 by 16, I believe. It has a walk-in shower, a small refrigerator, a small kitchenette area, and it has two closets in it.
They have a hairdresser/barber that comes in once a week that they can choose to go to. They have music. They have people that come in about once a week to entertain, with different types of entertainment. They have a bus. They'll take people to appointments or take them on outings to the grocery store, things like that.
Mostly I worked with Stephanie, who was the Director of Sales. She was very accommodating in meeting my parents. She was taking us around and showing us things, leaving us a little bit alone when we were in the room, that way we could discuss things but be available if we had any questions. I've met with her three times now.
As far as I could tell, it looked very clean. They were working on the apartment my parents are going to get when I was there. They were repainting it and getting ready to redo the bathroom, and they seemed to be very good at what they were doing. We went into the laundry area, which is for residents if they wish to do their own laundry. It seemed to be very clean and everything.

I went to Brentwood at Elkhart Assisted Living, it checked everything off of our list. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Everything was neat and clean, the people were extremely friendly. The cost was right and there was nothing I could find that I didn't like. When I visited, all of the patients seemed well cared for and happy. All of the workers seemed very, very friendly, neat, and clean. It was at Christmas time so there was a big Christmas tree. It checked the whole list of things that I would want, and it all fell in place. So I canceled all appointments to go anywhere else. I haven't tried the food but I got the menu and it looked good.

We have just placed my mom in an assisted living place called Brentwood at Elkhart. The biggest reason why we chose them was the price and the location. I also like the ease of getting around, it wasn't too big for my mom to navigate, and the price was right. They were very helpful in setting things up. The staff are very caring and very helpful. I have tried the food, it was good, and there was a very good selection. They have bingo, they have several different functions that go on and all the residents can go to, and they have available transportation. There is a microwave, an apartment-sized refrigerator, and a sink in the room.

I visited Brentwood at Elkhart Assisted Living. I liked it, they were nice, and everybody said hello.
The staff was excellent. I think her name was Amber, she was really good and she knew what she was doing. She came to the door when we got there, she came up to me and said, "I've been waiting for you to come. I wanted to meet you so bad." She was just as sweet as can be.
I have some problems. I've got arthritis, and something else I have in my knee. That's why my brother and sister-in-law wanted me to go into a place. They're both up in their mid to late 80s and they're not going to be around all the time. They want me to be taken care of so they don't have to worry about me before they pass on.
I saw the room, I saw the apartment that I could have had, but I said no because it's over $2200. That was just with a little kitchenette, which surprised me. I never knew they had a little kitchen inside that apartment. It had a bedroom, a living room, and a bathroom and that was pretty much it. I liked it, but not at that price, I can't.
It was clean and they were in there working. People that didn't even know me would come up and say hello to me. I need to be around people since I'm a people person so that's good.

We went here and I was really happy with it. It seemed like a good option if my father needed more care. The room was smaller. From just talking to them, when a resident moved out, they either shampooed the carpet, replaced the carpet, or repainted the room. I was impressed with it. I felt like they were caring and they weren't just getting the job done. They cared about whether the person would be happy there or not. They had a beautiful dining area. They had quite a few activities. They had a library area, a TV room, and a common area. The person who assisted me was great. She answered questions. The place looked great.

It was very nice, and that’s where we’ve decided to move my parents. It’s very clean and well-lit, and the residents were very nice. Several staff said hi and talked about the facility, other places we went to they just sit and watch people walked by. The amenities and activities seemed to be fine. I tried the food, and it was OK.

It was clean, busy and was an exciting place. It looked like they had a lot of age-based activities that the people were capable of doing. The rooms were clean, the size was sufficient, they had Bingo, music, and exercise classes, and it all looked very good.

We visited and It looked like it was a very nice place. They had a very caring staff and a very clean facility. It looked like they have everything my parents would want if that's what they have decided to do. They were very informative about their facilities and the services that they have. It was good. I would recommend this community to others. The rooms/apartments were very adequate, very clean and well-kept. There was easy access wherein anyone who was disabled would be able to get around just fine.

My mother-in-law liked it. The staff that gave us the tour was very knowledgeable. We had a very nice tour with a lot of interaction with other people who lived there. We were able to talk with quite a few of them. They had a couple of resident advocates, my mother-in-law talked to a few of them, and I thought that was the biggest selling point because the two ladies that were resident advocates there were really informative and told her a lot of in and out things. She liked the set-up of the room, and a couple of residents invited us to come in and look on how they set up their rooms. We really enjoyed it. She saw them proud where they were, and it was home to them. It wasn't just like some institution. They had a special family dinner room that you could reserve, come, and have special dinner. She really liked all those points. She currently had a dog, and she could have her little puppy. That was a really big thing.
She loved the dining area because there were actual tablecloths in it, everything was nice and inviting, and it didn't look like an institution kind of thing because that was she was thinking it was going to be, and I said it was not. We talked to the ladies about the nail things, the bingo, and all the different things. They gave us a copy of the calendar of that current month and the things that were going on.
The place was aesthetically pleasing in the outside. It was very nice and very welcoming. She really enjoyed it.

I thought it was clean and bright, and it looked nice. The staff was helpful. We were able to walk through and see individuals who were there, and one lady showed us her room; she was kind enough to let us see what her room looked like, so that was helpful.

I stayed here. The staff were helpful and sensitive. The CNAs and aids were professional. The quality of the food was excellent. There were also a lot of activities during the day, they were good at organizing activities.
