My dad is a current resident and this has been a good place for him. Great location. The facility isn’t the nicest but he has received excellent care. His aid Diane and nurse Jessica in particular have consistently been wonderful! Our family is very grateful.

This place is horrible. My mom was there for a day and a half before being taken to the hospital. When I went to pick up her belongings, they lost the all her meds that I had brought from home as well as her glasses and walker. They ended up finding "her" walker but it was not hers. When I questioned them about where her meds that I brought in were they stated that her husband had come and got them. Her husband passed away 8 years prior. We are still fighting to get the first night paid for as she was admitted directly from the ER.

As an R.N. I was appalled at the living conditions for the residents. In one room feces was on the bathroom door handle that 4 residents must share. The feces remained on the handle one week later. There has been no heat blowing from the room heater. The resident states that she has requested the heat to be fixed for two months. After applying a thermometer the room was noted to be at 60 degrees.

My parents went to Hillcrest Nursing Home before they passed. Mom was there for four years and then dad went in many years later when he had a stroke. He stayed there for about two years. The staff was underpaid and undertrained. Mom complained about everything. They should start treating people like patients instead of customers.

I felt the staff was not helpful in providing immediate care. There would be times my grandmother would waited for 30 minutes or more for help. The overall facility itself needed some updates and repairs. I felt managment could have been friendler and hospitable when visting guest come to vist. The amenities were quite old and dated. I would have liked to see a nicer looking environment for my loved ones care. Its my loved ones fault they need immediate or 24 hour care, but I feel the staff should have a much happier attitude towards caring for the paients. Caring for other peoples loved ones is not just a job its about having a loving spirt. Its difficult at times to see elder's being treated unfairly or poorly. Its should be a previlage to care for older people for they have lots of wisdoms and should be appreciated.
