We toured Magnolia Springs SouthPointe. It was a beautiful, beautiful place, but it was not budget-friendly for my sister. I liked everything about them. The staff and residents were very friendly. They were very helpful and answered all of our questions. The only hold back on that place was the budget. They have everything that you could possibly want. They have a home theater and a workout room. They had a beauty salon and a barber shop. The place was very clean. The hospital is about a mile away, and go down the other way, there's pretty much any restaurant or shopping that you want. It's only about two or three miles from the mall.

Magnolia Springs SouthPointe was my top pick. However, it wouldn't work for my sister because of its openness, and she needs to be restricted. I like the openness of it and there is a lot of light as you walk in. The cafeteria has light. I would go there, I probably couldn't afford it, but I would go there myself. My sister is college-educated, and she was finding a hard time with conversations with different people where she is now, and so she would like to be challenged conversationally, and that might be available there more because of this mix of people. Cody, who gave me the tour, took his time and was very knowledgeable. He said hello to people by name and that impressed me. He is just the marketing guy, but he knew the people and that was very good. They have a chef and I looked at the menus and those are very impressive. I think my sister would be more interested in what I saw there than other institutions that I've seen. The facility is only six years old, so it has that clean feel and there are no smells like you would get in some of the more hospital-like facilities. After looking at eight of them either virtually or in person, it seemed like it had everything that all the other ones have including the salon. They have a little gift shop or a little mini-store, and not all of them have that, and so that was nice. Almost all of them had a TV room, but theirs was more comfortable and more theater-like.

I toured Magnolia Springs SouthPointe. They were very, very friendly. The dining area was very nice. Everyone at the entry desk to the person giving the tour was extremely friendly and very welcoming. Their rooms were not very big, but this is a temporary home for my brother; it's a respite care. This room would not be for assisted living. They were redoing the floors, and they were fixing it up. It would be brand new flooring and newly painted. It didn't seem like they would have a recliner for my brother (which he would need), so I would have to bring my own. Everything looked very handicapped accessible and very good.
We didn't go into like laundry and so on because they were strongly appalled to the care my brother was getting before. We were in a hurry to try to get him into this other facility where he can maybe get help before he went there. When I need to make a decision between those facilitis (being that they have rooms available), I would need to call them again and ask them a few things. They were trying to be very helpful to get him the care that was needed. It was a little bit less expensive than the other facility. I would have to give a 30-day notice, and that's difficult for me to know where he's going to be at.

I was able to see Magnolia Springs SouthPointe. It was really nice. When we walked in they had a welcome sign for me, and I thought it was nice. The staff member answered all of our questions. It seemed older than the other place, but it didn't seem super old. It seemed relatively clean, but there was a smell of urine in different places. They had a movie theater where the residents could go and watch movies, they had a room that had arcade games, and they had a typical calendar of activities.

My 89 yr. old mother spent 8 months here, and I cannot say enough good things about this place. The staff is caring, loving, and friendly. They make every resident feel special, I have witnessed them doing it over and over again. Never once did I see or hear a grumble or see a grimace from a staff member there. In fact, they were eager to help and lend comfort and provide the best care they possibly could. My mother called the staff her "angels" - all of them - her housekeepers, maintenance, dining and food service staff, admin and management, front desk, nursing staff and her wonderful caregivers . I agree with Mom, they all were angels.
The facility itself is very clean and very well maintained and managed. It is beautifully furnished and laid out thoughtfully for the comfort of residents and their visiting families. The close proximity to many key medical complexes in the area is a real plus.
There are a lot of activities for residents, and the staff strives to get residents participating and stay engaged.
I highly recommend Magnolia Springs at Southpointe for anyone looking for the very best care available for their aging parent.

Magnolia Springs is awesome, and I would love to keep Dad there. His room is spacious, clean, and the staff is excellent, caring, and compassionate. They have wonderful activities, but we wish they had a higher ratio of staff to patients. He's in the memory portion.

My parents moved to Magnolia Springs when my dad was not doing well, he was actually on hospice for awhile. The caregivers are amazing, they are caring and compassionate. They made it possible for my brothers and me to relax a bit and know my parents were safe.

Magnolia Springs SouthPointe is fabulous, the staff had been welcoming and professional, and the food is so excellent that my father keeps saying he feels like he's going to a wonderful 5-star restaurant every meal. The accommodations are good, and it’s a first-class place. They're in a 1-bedroom, 1-bath, with a nice large room, three closets -- so there's more storage space than you'd normally find in assisted living -- and a small kitchen with a microwave, refrigerator, and sink. We found that we don't have enough outlets for everything, but my parents like a lot of lamps so we've been challenged a little with the number of outlets that they have. So far, they worked with us on the move in, told us what to do, and helped support us, and the dining staff has just been wonderful and accommodating to my parents and any of us visiting. You can do visitor meals at a cost, and on move-in day we got five free meals for move-in help, so that was nice. The staff did coordination ahead of time, and they're available in answering questions. They're very good in paying attention, knowing my parents' names, and greeting them by name. The place is a very pretty, gorgeous, and newer facility. They're keeping it up really nicely, and that makes a big difference. They have lots of activities.

Magnolia Springs is beautiful and big, and it’s 2 floors. The scenery around is beautiful. The food is fantastic, the people is so nice, and it’s not like they will take advantage of you. The price is very reasonable. Everybody that has been there absolutely loved it.
