I found Franciscan Village for my mom. The care and the food were highly rated. She moved in last month. The staff is good. My mom loves the food. They have lots of activities. They have everything. They have a salon, a gym, a rehab area, and a craft room. It's closer to the majority of the family.

I loved Franciscan Village, but they didn’t have any availability. I would give it a high rating. The cleanliness was fantastic. I liked the pretty layout.

Franciscan Village seemed very nice. The staff was certainly very friendly and helpful. We did meet some of the residents, and they indicated that they were very pleased with their decision to live there. The facility was undergoing renovation, so they took us to several apartments that had been recently renovated. The apartments were very nice. The appointments in the hallways were older, but they were doing a very nice job on the renovation of those particular apartments. They were doing a lot in their common areas and food services, so we were very impressed. We liked it. I visited probably about eight different locations, took my mother to three or four of them, and this was definitely her favorite.

I could not have been more pleased with Franciscan Village. My great aunt was a resident there for 3 years. Each time we would visit, she would show us around and each staff member would say hello to her using her name. This showed me that they cared about her as a person rather than 'just a resident.' She slipped and fell in her apartment and broke her neck and was in the hospital for quite a while. The staff send her a card signed by everyone and it really brightened her days. After returning, she was self conscious of the way she looked with her neck brace and the sound she made when she ate and didn't want to leave her room. Staff members would come up to visit with her and try to get her to overcome her fears. It put our minds at ease knowing that she was being well take care of when we could not be there with her.
