I liked my visit to Bickford of Bourbonnais, and I liked the staff. The layout of the place looked good. They had gathering places for the people, and the dining room looked very nice and comfortable. They said they had activities and stuff. The community was very clean, and the courtyard looks nice.

I visited Bickford of Bourbonnais in person. It's absolutely lovely. The people that work there make you feel like you're family. Everybody is really friendly and pleasant to be around with. It's very, very clean and well kept. The residents looked happy, too. It was a very positive experience. The rooms are very nice. The big drawback for my mother is that there's only one window in most of the rooms, which is in the bedroom, that's the only window. The layout could have been better. If it's a corner, then you have two windows. It's kinda like a cave because there are no windows in your living area. My mother is a plant person so that would not be optimum for her. She is also a bath person, but there's only a couple of rooms with bathtubs actually in the apartment. My mother is not going to go downstairs into another room and take a bath. She likes to do it in her own bathtub. Those are the two drawbacks. They have all kinds of activities. They have seasonal activities, too. They have their group activities and exercise. They were playing with pool noodles and balloons. There's just not a lot going on right now with the Covid, but still there's something offered that they're doing every day with the people. The staff were lovely people. The facility was spotless, too.

Bickford of Bourbonnais seemed very nice and very expensive. They had activities going on. It was a two-story, so there was an elevator for the seniors to use to go up and down; they did not have to take the stairs. The staff was very nice. Everything was great. If you visited a family member, you were allowed to eat there for free with them, which I thought was very nice.

Bickford of Bourbonnais was very nice. There’s a garden area where the residents could take a little section to plant things like tomatoes and flowers. The rooms were clean, and the staff was nice.

Bickford was a family owned business. It was not as big as the other place I visited, but it seemed very homey. They had activities there. I would recommend them. The people working there were very good. When I went there, the whole staff came up to me like the nurses and the people working there. The woman in-charge of the tour introduced me to the staff. When I went there, they were all busy in doing some kind of activities.

Bickford of Bourbonnais is a very nice facility, but a little dated. Every resident has their own separate apartment, which is a very positive thing. They have social activities for their residents for social interaction.

I chose Bickford House (Bickford of Bourbonnais) for my uncle. Bickford is set up like a home, so it is comfy. It is small enough to be cozy, and the personnel are very friendly with the seniors. They're always there to help them should they have any problems. The food is very good. Bickford is just a very nice setting. It is quiet and cozy. The place is set up like a house. All the individual apartments surround an atrium and that's where the main dining area is, so every one in the place is about equidistant from the dining area. There are a lot of appointments as far as gaming rooms, places to sit down, and entertainment places with pianos and game boards. They have private dining rooms should you want to entertain your extended family, and they even have an outside vegetable gardens where they raise their own vegetables. They have studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. The people are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They will go above and beyond to accommodate any of the family's needs as well as the residents' needs.

My friend lived at Bickford of Bourbonnais for over a year. I just thought that it was very nice and clean. You have access to any part of the building. Everybody has their own individual apartments -- either a one bedroom or two bedrooms. She was in a single room. It was very nice and clean. She had a living room, a nice sized kitchen, a bedroom, some storage space and a nice big closet in which to store some stuff. The dining area reminded me of going to a restaurant to eat. It has cloth napkins, nice table settings and stuff. It is seldom for anyone to be in a wheelchair. Everybody walks around to mingle and they eventually become close friends. They get together and play cards. It's amazing, but if you want to live there you have to have a lot of money because when your money runs out, you'll be moving out.
