About This Community

We began our quest into senior living because of our love for our beloved mother, Mary Bickford, whose needs became too great for us to manage. As we researched senior living options, we were shocked at our findings. The options offered too much or too little – none met her needs and nothing felt like home. Since we couldn’t find what we wanted, we decided to create what we needed. Our main desire was to create a place that helped her achieve an equivalent peace and happiness that she had earlier in her life.

We understand that selecting a senior living community for your loved one is one of the toughest decisions that you will ever face. We will work with you to ensure that the transition is as easy and comfortable as possible. Whether your loved one is at home, in the hospital or even in another state, we can work with your hospital, insurance company, and doctor to make your difficult decision easier on you and your family. Aging can be difficult – but we’ve also seen the beauty in aging. Our mother’s happiness inspired us. We created Bickford for her and now we’re devoted to serving yours. We look forward to meeting you soon.

My mom is a resident of Bickford of Clinton. Everything is wonderful about the place. All the staff, the seniors, the activity director, and everybody has been wonderful to my mother. They've gone way out of their way to help her, no matter what. She just loves it there. She loves the chair exercises and the activities. This all lifted her health. It's just amazing. They play bunco, bingo, and checkers. They do activities and make all kinds of different crafts. She just absolutely loves it. The social aspect is just wonderful, too. When she went in, she wasn't feeling well. This has lifted her up through the years. It's just amazing. I just love the place, and I can't say enough about it. The staff is just excellent. Everybody is so caring and nice. If they have any questions for my sister, my brother, or me, they come to us. They're just so helpful. I don't have anything bad to say because they've all just been so good to her. I think overall, the cooks do the best they can with what the recipes require of them. I was a cook myself, so I totally understand. The facility is beautiful inside. It's homey and comfortable. It's not like you're in a hospital, like some of the nursing homes I've been in. My dad was in one with Alzheimer's. They've just been above and beyond. My mom loves the activities, and she loves playing. I know there's other games that they've played. In terms of value for money, it's still less than going to a nursing home that's going to be $6,000 or $7,000 a month.
