My mom moved into Prairie Hills - Clinton last week. It's very modern. It's very clean, and I would say the people that are very friendly. They offer private room and cable TV. They've got a very modern dining area. They have new carpet and stuff like that. Her room was really nice. I really like the staff there. We ate there on Saturday, and the food was really good. The facility is very clean, and very well maintained.

My mother is a resident at Prairie Hills. The facility is very clean. They have the normal amenities and meals. They have tenants on staff. They also provide rides to wherever people got to go. Right now, they're on lockdown of course, so I can't even go out there and visit.
They have a large meeting area and they have activities for the people. It's out on the edge of town, so it's quiet. Price is comparable to the other facilities in the area, and they do accept that Medicaid waiver. It's decent. Everybody has something to say about the food. Everybody has their own taste, but they do have the ability to order different menus if they don't like what they're being served for dinner or lunch. They can always order SP, or make them some type of hamburger, sandwich, or something like that, but they have regular meals. And I believe you can order your breakfast the way you like it. My mother does that every day. She's got her own specific thing that she likes.
The staff has a turnover rate of about once a year. They get people in there for about a year, and then they'll sometimes move on to a different facility, or they're going to do something else. I know that's how they do with the managers. They get new managers about every year. The rooms are pretty big. She's living in a kinda like as big as a motel room. It's pretty big, it's got a refrigerator, a microwave, and sink. It's pretty nice. You have to pay for your phone, but they pay for your cable. They got a barber shop, a little store, and everything. She doesn't do a lot of activities, but they do have them.

We went to Prairie Hills - Clinton. The facilities were kind of all together, so we looked at it as a whole. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had quite a few amenities. The building was pretty nice, and the grounds were well kept. It was a nice place. They had open TV sitting areas, and they could sit with each other and watch TV or whatever. The facility was clean. Everything was vacuumed, tidy, and neat.

Prairie Hills was excellent. The tour and staff were great. They had everything for seniors, so we're very happy with it. I visited the assisted living. It was one level, and some people don't like it because they feel like it's a maze, but I don't have any problems with it and thought it was OK.

Prairie Hills was a nice facility, but it is a little more towards a nursing home. It was clean and fairly new, modern, and well-maintained.

My grandmother loved her apartment there. All the neighbors were friends. It is located within easy walking distance of a bus stop, grocery store, dollar store, hair salon and coffee shop. The doctor's office is only a block away. She enjoyed most being able to have her own patio to sit out on her swing. She still talks about her apartment and how much she misses it! Before she left, they did some upgrades to her place for free, including new carpet. The apartment has a good sized bedroom with generous closet space. The facility also has a community room available that has a kitchen, seating for many and a piano. We held her birthday there a few times.

The staff at this facility were always extremely helpful. They made sure my relative was always happy and comfortable. They made sure she had everything she needed. The facility itself was always very clean and well kept. It had modern decorations to make it appear more homelike for the people living there. The rooms at the facility were decent sized, which made it easier for residents to move around without a tripping hazard. Whenever we needed to have a family gathering, the staff made sure we had a room so we weren't all sitting in my relativ's room. They made sure we had food and beverages or whatever else we may have needed. My relative always talked about all the activities they involved her in, which helped her feel better about moving into a facility where she didn't know anyone. Overall, the staff at this facility made sure everyone was accepted and not left out.
