We toured Oaks at Grove Park. We liked this place. It was new, very bright, open, and nicely decorated. It had ground-floor patio apartments that my mother-in-law enjoyed. They were new, updated, and attractive. The guy who gave us the tour was really good. He showed us where they have a Wednesday night social, a courtyard area, and some other gathering areas that look very welcoming.

Oaks at Grove Park impressed me the most. It was clean and well maintained. They have friendly staff. The one-bedroom was spacious. The dining room was pretty big. They offer you the option of either eating in the dining room or having it taken to your room. They have a salon that you can use for an extra charge, and they have a workout therapy room you can go use. Everything I've seen was clean. There were no bad odors around anywhere, like you find sometimes if you go to a nursing facility. The outside was maintained. It had a nice garden area. When the weather permits, the residents can sit outside. Everybody I met was real friendly. The lady that gave me the tour introduced me to people in the dining area and the people who handle the entertainment for the residents. Everybody seemed real friendly. All the common areas and the dining room that I've seen were 5 stars. The room that was available that they showed me was being cleaned up from a previous resident. They were doing everything, including replacing carpet and painting the walls. It would have been a place that I would want to live in.

It was quite a good experience at the Oaks at Grove Park. A very nice, homey place, the staff there treated me quite nicely and gave me a good tour. It's very nice, clean, well-kept, very nice and homey. The staff was very kind and welcoming. They have very nice rooms, on par with four and five-star hotels. It's a nice place, but it did not have any available rooms.

Oaks at Grove Park was nice. Everything, including the layout, is a 5. What I don't like about the program is whatever type of medical stuff I have is an additional cost. It depends on how much care they have to do. The facility was clean and new. The staff was awesome. The space was accommodating. It's just a nice facility, and the location was awesome. It's right by a subdivision, but it's all by itself. There was easy access to get to it. It's off of Whitesville Road. The facility was well kept, maintained, and new. The dining facility was awesome. I actually met the chef. He is a retired military just like me. He's a nice guy. Everything was nice and beautiful. The staff was helpful, friendly, and accommodating. If mom couldn't get there, the staff referred me to some other regular nursing home places. Mom had to have a BiPAP, but they don't have the people to accommodate a BiPAP; still the staff tried to help me find a place for mom. He was real helpful.

My mom is at Oaks at Grove Park and so far it's been great. The people are wonderful and the entry price is very good. We got in the special at the end of the year and they guarantee you for a couple of years. I even tasted some of the food and it's very good. The people are very caring and it's working out well. They also have an activities director that does things with their residents. In the memory unit they got TVs, a big living room, and a center atrium where they can walk around and check out the plants and stuff, plus they got a crafts room that they're trying to do and setup. They've got a little bit of everything.
