My husband and I visited as we are looking for a loved one. It was a gorgeous facility and had beautiful rooms! The size of them was much larger than we anticipated and seemed like it would be a great fit for our family... This has been a lengthy process for us, but I believe that this is the community that we will choose! The staff was incredibly welcoming, the food looked great, the activities looked fun, and the list goes on! What is not to love? Thank you for providing us with a wonderful experience during our visit.

My wife has been a resident in the memory care unit since a few days after the facility opened. Previously, I cared for her at home for the past 5 years. She is bipolar and has aphasia, so she can be difficult and cannot communicate her needs.
I have found the caretakers to be attentive and helpful. She has demonstrated that she likes them, and usually will cooperate when they try to guide her. When I arrive, the caretakers and other staff normally give me an update on how she has been doing so far that day.
I read the negative reviews and am fairly sure they explain some recent turnover in the staff.
I tried to feed her a complete and balanced diet at home, but she had lost many pounds over the past year. She has regained that weight and more since moving to the Oaks.
The combination of planned activities and opportunities to socialize have definitely improved the percentage of time that she is cheerful. I've even received descriptive texts and pictures from staff members of her participating in various activities.
I am quite confident that I made the correct decision when I placed her in the Oaks at Suwanee Creek. She is much happier, and I can visit, knowing she will be well cared for while I’m gone.

My grandparents just moved into Oaks at Suwanee Creek a couple weeks ago. The facility is really nice, and I like all the activities that they have for the residents. It seems clean and organized. They have things like bingo, happy hour, and dining hours. They have a chapel, a beauty salon, and a physical therapy room. I haven't interacted with them too much, but the staff seemed nice. One night, my grandmother fell and I think their protocol is to call 911 if they fall and hit their head. My grandmother was able to talk them out of it, but they didn't tell us about that and that wasn't great. They need to communicate about those kinds of things.
