Bonaventure of Thornton has really gone down hill in the nearly 2.5 years they’ve been open. Once a premier facility with top notch employees, they currently run so short staffed and tend to hire extremely inexperienced individuals. Most new hires do not stay for long and many don’t show up for a second or third shift. Apartments are supposed to be cleaned weekly, which now consists of the floor getting vacuumed with no bathroom cleaning, no dusting, no surfaces cleaned... The food is generally not very good and the meals are repetitive. Don’t let the unqualified directors or the pretty building fool you, there is a reason they have extremely high turnover and unhappy residents. Yes, they have a pub and cafe that aren’t opened, a bowling alley that is seldom open and no activity director or working air conditioning in the vans. Services that are supposed to be provided as outlined in the care plan are often not provided, yet the resident still pays for these services. With the prices Bonaventure of Thornton charges and the minimal staff they employ, they must make a killing. Do better Bonaventure. You owe it to the residents.

My mom knows five or six people at Bonaventure of Thornton. It was very nice. Gloria was very helpful, and I got to meet some of the staff. They were opening their dining hall, so I saw a couple of people there, but I didn't talk to anybody. I got to see their patio, their fitness room, and their hair salon. We got to walk the halls and see some of the other amenities that were out, but with COVID, it was a limited tour, which I totally understand. We looked at a room, and it looked spacious and clean.

Bonaventure Senior Living - Thornton is a wonderful place. There are lots of activities, it's easy to navigate, and the food seems pretty good. My mother-in-law seems to enjoy the food. There's a movie theater, bowling game, jigsaw puzzles, bingo, and rummy cube, and they have a daily activities calendar. Everybody is helpful and very friendly.
