San Francisco Towers is very elegant. It's an urban setting. They have an indoor pool and available parking. It's very nicely done and very nicely maintained. However, it was much more old school. You can add assistance as you need it in time, but they have a large financial buy-in and their policy is that you have to be independent initially to get in. The person who toured us was very pleasant though.

I visited San Francisco Towers, they have extremely good amenities for this field and I can say that they're at the top of the market. I was shown an apartment and a smaller room, and they're bigger than the rooms in other places I've seen. My friend in this community has a 2-bedroom apartment, it's large, and has 2-bethrooms. She's spending a large amount of money for that and she bought in. The smaller ones are also still expensive for me. They have a lot of things for the residents to do, they have people come in and give lectures, and they take people regularly to the symphony, opera, and ballet. They also have groups within the community that do things on their own, so I would say that it's the best. I've had a meal there and the food is excellent.

I visited friends at San Francisco Towers. I liked it, but the reason I didn’t choose them is that I didn’t think they had any openings and it was a bit expensive. It was an excellent, lovely facility. The staff seemed very nice. The rooms were nice. I have friends who live there who are very happy.

We did visit San Francisco Towers. We were shown around, and this is one of the two places that we like very much. We had lunch there with the people who live there, and the food was very healthy. We were impressed because it seemed very friendly, and the residents talked to us. The apartments were very nice and very adaptable to what we like. All in all, it was a very welcoming place. It is downtown, so it is close to the opera which we like. It is also close to plays and theaters. They offer lots of activities like walking or reading groups -- just everything that you could imagine.

I saw some rooms at San Francisco Towers. It looked like someone had moved out, and they were getting ready to sell it so they had it all redone for that. What we found is that the age difference was quite a bit different from what we were looking for so I think that that probably had a big impact on our decision to wait. I would say that the average age at the Towers was probably 85. Everything was wonderful. It could not have been any better.
