There are so many reasons why I love life at Orlando Lutheran towers‼️ I’ve lived here 4 years in a 15th floor studio apartment where I have a beautiful view of Lake Eola and like the balcony and open area to gather with friends. The residents are friendly, interesting and full of life. The staff are professional, helpful and positive. The activities are varied and accommodate all personalities(cards, games, book club, bible study, bocce ball, Ping pong, movies, exercise classes, outside entertainment ) The under cover parking and facility are secure. Our chapel is very special to all of us. And I love the downtown location where I can walk everywhere‼️

My mom has been in Orlando Lutheran Towers. When she moved in there, it was like a new lease on life for her because at that time she was very active. She's not as active right now, but she has enjoyed living there, and she has friends. To me, it was like a college dorm when she moved in there because they all had a good time. The thing of it is, is that they've all aged together. They're pretty decent friends, and they have get-togethers on their floor. She's very happy there, and that's what counts. The staff members are very friendly. They are very helpful, and they love Mom. Food is satisfactory. It's not gourmet, but it's good. They enjoy it, and they are very happy with it. They have been remodeling the place for the last couple of years, so it's beautiful, modern, and clean. It looks very classy. They have something to do all the time. They have movies. They don't go out right now because of the COVID. They have dance opens. They don't have COVID, but COVID is out there, so they're very cognizant of that fact. The residents have just started to go out before this new variant came, and they are very careful about who comes and goes. They have bingo, and they have happy hour. Every floor has a happy hour like once a month. They do ice cream socials. They have a newsletter that comes out every week and it tells them what's available.

My mother was 91 when we convince her to sell her home (her only asset) and move to the Lutheran Towers in Orlando, Florida. She paid a set fee upon being accepted as a resident who was part of their independent living arrangement and then a monthly fee. There were more than enough group and individual activities and entertainment was brought in for the residents. When she became too frail to continue in independent living, she was transferred to assisted living. When her savings ran out, she was charged just a portion of her Social Security payments, a very small fee. When she became ill, she received care in their medical unit and finally hospice care in her assisted living apartment until she died at 98. The care she received was exemplary. We called and visited often and she never had anything negative to say except she didn't always like the menu selections, but she was a picky eater. I realize that there are nursing homes that don't begin to approach the facility, organization, and level of care that the Lutheran Towers afforded my mother.

Orlando Lutheran was great, we liked it and liked the rooms. My father liked the way that you can go to assisted living and nursing care all in one place. The food was pretty good, the wait staff could use a little more sympathy. But the food was okay, they also had a special that day. There's a cafe where everybody can come. The staff that we met was very nice.

We visited Orlando Lutheran Towers and had lunch. I have friends there, and it's very close to my church. The people there seem to want to help you get what you want, like an apartment that's right for you. I've selected a one-bedroom, but I haven't decided yet whether I should get their one-bedroom deluxe and a one-bedroom with a den. They said they'll tear down the walls to make it like you want it. The food we had was very good. I like this community. The rooms are not dark. They're very light with big windows. All the common areas also have a lot of light. The staff member seem to be accommodating, nice, friendly, and helpful.

I lived in OLT (Orlando Lutheran Towers) for a year. I was somewhat mislead into thinking that my substantial entrance fee was going to cover my potential nursing home care if ever needed since I was told that I would never be expelled. The concept of "independent" living can have various meanings. It seems that many in this category can hardly walk or have limited mobility or memory issues. At first I considered OLT as being " ALMOST HEAVEN". But after a while, this changed. The residents were very amiable and friendly. However, the dining room was another matter. Toward the end I actually dreaded having to go into it. While the food was OK the servers were anything but. A prolonged wait of up to an hour to be served was quite common. And then the wrong item (s) would come. And the take-home items were very reluctantly given. Only one piece of fruit or one milk. And for the price paid monthly to be there, the food could be more freely given as I noticed being the case in other CCRCs (Continuing Care Retirement Community). Activities seemed fine and one could participate if one desired. The location Downtown was a big drawing card but after a year was played out. OLT is good for certain situations but it is best to evaluate fully before deciding. Perhaps an Elder Care attorney would be good to check into before deciding since the cost of CCRCS is a bit high. A partial refund was given based on the first four years. Two percent per month is deducted from the entrance fee.

We like that Orlando Lutheran Tower is a tri-level facility. It has assisted, independent, and skilled nursing care. The staff are very caring. They have a large dining room on the first floor, which is very nice. They have music sometimes. The facility is very clean and very well maintained. They have activities every day. They also have an activities director, so they have exercise, music, and bingo. They also have physical therapy.

Very expensive, great location, too many floors for the elderly, close to churches, overall decent property and would give it a neutral rating.

We had a family friend who was a resident in the Lutheran Towers for many years. This facility is a continuing care facility in downtown Orlando. It sits in a high rise building and offers all different levels of care, from independent living all the way to skilled nursing care. I will focus my review on the assisted living portion of this facility as that is where our friend resided and the area I was able to visit most often. This is a gorgeous area with individual apartments for each of the residents. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful - from assisting with housekeeping to providing meals and medication reminders to the residents as often as necessary. I often saw staff approaching residents with a smile, calling them by name, and even offering those extra special touches like remembering a birthday or asking about one of those resident's family members (such as asking how a Grandchild is doing who has just left for college). I never entered this facility and found it to be anything except extremely clean, updated in decor, and all around welcoming. They do an excellent job of providing a friendly and home like feel in the individual apartments, in the common area, in the Chapel, and in the dining hall. Residents have access to a ton of activities regularly and I also often saw residents forming small activity groups on their own (a small book club perhaps or card game meet up). It was very obvious to me that this facility provides excellent care, but also encourages the highest level of independence for each and every resident. Overall I can think of nothing negative to say about this facility. Our family friend very much enjoyed her time there and I would highly recommend it to family and friends if the need ever arose.
