I'm living in Redwood villa Retirement Residence. It's very good. It's just that it's farther away from my relatives, and I want to get closer to them if I can. They offer meal services. They have free laundry, Jacuzzis, a sauna, and a workout room. They're now getting back to where they're organizing various events and games that they do in their community rooms. It's a fairly tight-knit community, and the people seem to like it quite a bit. I can't say enough about them; they're a very nice outfit. It's not the newest facility, but it's well maintained. They give you a shuttle service -- we're right on the community shuttle path -- so it's very easy to get around and go to stores from here. They take us out to the local shopping centers to do our shopping if we want. During the summer, they usually set up an outing to a park where we have a barbecue and things like that. So they take us places and let us do things so we don't feel like we're trapped here. I think it's a pretty good bang for the buck. It's a family-run facility, not a corporate facility. They have to respond to the owners of the company, who insist on providing good service. They have very good people on their staff, and I have no complaints there.

We liked Redwood Villa Retirement Residence, and we thought it was a good place. They have nice people, nice facilities, it’s quiet, and we have a positive view of it. They showed us a room, we thought it was okay, but I prefer more kitchen facilities, than they have. The people we met were nice, helpful, and answered our questions.

We went to another place called Redwood that was on Mountain View. It was a great setting. There are huge redwood trees, and it’s a very nice setting. The rooms felt bigger. There were like little verandas so you could from your room and go outside. However, they did not allow any pets at all. That was a deal breaker as far as we were concerned. We have a dog and a cat. We did look at the menu, and we did look at the facility. It looked like a very comfortable dining room ,and the menu looked good.

Redwood Villa has beautiful grounds, lots of space, and lots of people walking around with canes, walkers, and walking independently. Just a wonderful place for seniors, very nice facility.

My mother is living in Redwood Villa independent living facility. It’s the cheapest that we were able to find and the only thing we can afford. The apartments are very nice. This community is basically occupied by people who are relatively healthy. They hire people to come in for an hour here and there, but the facility doesn’t provide that. They have lots of activities, but unfortunately my mother doesn’t take advantage of them. They have trips to take them shopping or to different parks each week to give them opportunities to walk, and they bring in musical people to do sing-a-longs and that sort of thing. What I like best is that my mother has options to move around, to socialize with other people if she chooses to, and is not confined to a bed or anything like that.
