We really liked Villa Fontana. It was clean and didn't smell. The lobby was small. It's a smaller facility and gave us a favorable impression. The person during the tour was very charming. She answered all of our questions and took us around a couple of studios and talked about them. The food was quite good. The portions were a bit on the small side, but my brother was very happy with it. The layout was very nice. They had a very nice common area, but they didn't have enough small sitting spaces where a person could sit down and read the paper or book without being bothered.

Villa Fontana takes in independent and assisted care occupants as well as memory care people. The ambience was acceptable, except the one room that they were trying to sell was too small. I got a full tour of the whole place. I had my father in there 20 years back and it has changed significantly. They overhauled the whole place and it was brought up to current expectations. There were people getting primed up to go have lunch when I was there.

Villa Fontana is an older building and not quite as nice. The rooms are a little bit smaller and have a closed-in feeling, but the people are really nice. This is a private organization, so you don't have to be worried about changing care providers. There are three different places in the organization, and one of them is a nursing home, which is very good. They also do memory care and assisted living. There is another building that's basically for independent living/retirement. The third building is a nursing home, which is really excellent. The people seem to be happy, and the staff does a good job of caring for them. They do chair exercises, outings, and get-togethers in the afternoon. They play bingo and games. After dinner, they have Wheel of Fortune watch parties. They try to keep people's minds active. There are arts and crafts, and people come in from outside for activities.

The rooms were bigger at Villa Fontana compared to the ones where my mother-in-law is. Everything was very nice and clean. The staff was very nice. The apartments were larger, but they were also more expensive. Unfortunately, we could not afford to go there.

I visited my friend's mother who lived at Villa Fontana and it was an older facility, which they had redone. It was nice and it had a pleasant environment. It was conveniently located and it was a very desirable place. I don't know how much she's paying but it is in the upper medium range. It had a lot of pluses and I liked. It had the nurses checked on her and does vital signs hourly, which was kind of above and beyond, but they were doing it to reassure her more than anything. They had a nice dining room and she had her meal either in the dining room or in her own room.
