Whispering Winds of Apple Valley was a very welcoming, very relaxed, and enjoyable environment. The apartment was a nice size, clean, and efficient. We're looking at the one-bedroom, so it had a kitchen, a living room, and then a bedroom. The staff was very friendly and very willing to listen and offer ideas and willing to explain things in depth. They were in the process of remodeling. What they were doing looked very nice. They have a dining area. The gym area was not accessible because they were remodeling that area. They had a pool table area. They have a room where they do cooking classes for the residents. That all looked very nice and clean. They're not serving food to nonresidents right now.

I toured Whispering Winds of Apple Valley for my mother-in-law. They were very friendly, and they knew everybody by name. Everybody seemed to be very calm and relaxed. They had horse racing going on and that's one of the games. There were puzzles all over the place where if you wanted to solve puzzles or put a puzzle together, you could.
The rooms were nice. A lot of them had already been renovated with new paint and new appliances. They had full kitchens so they could cook if they wanted to. The rooms were very nice, and very large.

My brother is at Whispering Winds of Apple Valley. It is a nice place. They are very good people. They prepare meals and whatever else you might need. We needed somebody to watch over and be protective of my brother, and they are doing that for him. The staff members are very nice and very helpful.
I like the place myself. Everything is really nice. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Naturally, I have eaten some of their from time to time as I'll stay and have lunch with my brother. Their food is good. I like the place. They have different apartments. You can get a two-bedroom or a one-bedroom. It is like hotel living in a way. They do your personal washing and housekeeping once a week. It is a really nice place. I can't say anything bad about it. My last visit to the place was before COVID. I really like it. If I were to need to go in, I would be very glad to move in there. It is expensive, but it is good. I would recommend it.

We went to Whispering Winds of Apple Valley and we saw the assisted living side. It was a bigger facility. We liked it because it was right across the street and down a little bit from a shopping center with a theater, a grocery store, and all kinds of restaurants. We picked the room, and my friend's wife placed a deposit, but after they evaluated him they determined he needed too much care. However, it was impressive, large, and the rooms were nice. We talked to one guy there, he was very happy there, and he said they were great. You go in the dining room, you sit down like in a restaurant, and order off a menu. That's nice and I was impressed with that.

It was very accommodating and very nice. It had a very homey environment. As soon as you walk in the door, you see the kitchen, and we didn't care for that. The place was very clean, and the grounds were beautiful. We didn't care for the layout of the room. The staff was very friendly, but it turned us off when they were pushing us to sign the papers.

It was wonderful and if and when I go, that's where I would choose to go. It's beautiful. It was like a 5-star hotel. One of the things I liked about it best was the fact that you could eat at any time. You didn't have to be downstairs at 9:00 for breakfast or 12:00 for lunch. That was one of the best things I liked about it. You have the freedom to choose. Activities wise, they have anything you could want, all kinds of exercises, walking groups, Wii. All kinds of thing were available. We had lunch there and they served a hot meal. They had a beautiful salad bar, so it was great. I really was impressed. It's also close to my cardiologist and to doctors' appointments.

My mother has been there for six months. The staff are very caring with my mom. They talk to her first, before me, which they should. The caregivers are wonderful with mom and she likes them all. If mom can't live at home then this is the next best thing. The place is always clean and the residents are friendly when I visit my mom (I'm there usually 3 to 5 times a week). I even went on a "field trip" with them!

Everything was nice and pretty, but it wasn't great. There were nurses, LVNs, or nursing assistants who didn't know what was doing what. My sister was in there, and they left her in her diapers and didn't change her so her UTI got worse. Everything else looks just right, and it's like a little house in the prairie. It wasn't disgusting and didn't smell like pee, but they just didn't take care of my sister very well.

We visited and the staff was great. They’re excellent and superb. They were interactive with the patients and it looked like the patients come first, so it really was a nice place. I only see one activity while they were doing it, but everybody seemed to enjoy being there doing it. It looked nice.

I like it and it was very nice. The director there was very helpful. I don't think I'm going to be able to go into that facility, but that's the one that my mom preferred.

My dad has been in here since late March. I think it is wonderful. It is clean. All the staff is very helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to help their residents. It is a great place. He has a studio, and it is very nice. They have someone come in once a week to clean, vacuum, and do everything for him. There is a big bathroom that is very safe. They have a little kitchenette with a refrigerator and a little burner stove if they want to do some of their own cooking. They do have a dining area that is open from 7 to 7, and that is just wonderful. If there is something that he doesn't want, he can ask for whatever he wants, and they will make it for him.
They do a lot of activities. I know they have a bus that takes them out shopping twice a week. They will take him to all his doctors' appointments. They have bingo and things like that, but he has not participate yet. They have the electronic Wii game. They have a barbershop and a beauty shop. The food is wonderful. It is not pre-made. They order it when they come into the dining room.

We decided on here. We actually looked at a few of their facilities, and we were impressed with all of them. It was just that the one in Apple Valley is close to where my mother-in-law lives, so that is the only reason we chose that one. We loved how it has a very upbeat and cheery environment. The rooms were very nicely done. The staff was amazing. They really have top notch people working there, and we felt comfortable that she would have been in good care.
