I was not impressed with Craig Retirement. I did not get a very good, warm fuzzy from this community. Not that it was bad, it just seemed like they put everybody in a big room, and I didn't see a lot of interactivities with the residents between the staff. I only saw one other staff member in the room, and I didn't get the homey feeling that I got with the other places. It was clean, but it was a little dated.
They have a very small outside area, so they need to have a little bit larger area for the residents to go out. They didn't have a big outside facility. This is the memory care side, and I didn't see anything else, but I would like a little bit better outdoor facility for them to be able to go outside and interact out there. Some of the windows need to be replaced, and some of them had kind of like a fog look to them, so they need to update and clean up the windows in the great room. We saw a big room, and then we saw one shared room. The bedroom part looked OK, but it almost looked like an institution in the big room. It just didn't seem to have a whole lot to spark any interest from the residents. It's just like a big giant cafeteria/gymnasium look to it, and it wasn't inviting it all.
