The Princeton Senior Living has just opened and I took a tour to see their memory care. They only had 16 beds at the time. During my visit, they had assisted living there and were just opening up the memory care.
To me, the place is new but does not seem that friendly. I guess it was geared more towards women too. All their little activity centers throughout the hallways looked like they were geared pretty much toward women.
The gentleman that I talked to was telling me at the end of our two-and-a-half-hour talk, that no rooms are furnished. They're fairly small, they have an electrical station in the room, in a closet, which takes up some of the space. If they have to shower a resident, that's an extra charge. If they have to take them to the bathroom, that's also an extra charge. Anything that my husband would need would be an extra charge so to me, it wasn't the right fit and it's too expensive when you start adding the extra charges. I told the gentleman that my husband is not going to get any better so we're going to have to keep adding up and up.
