I liked that the memory care area in Pacifica Senior Living Woodmont was smaller and it was clean. There's not a lot of areas for my mom to get lost. So, it was nice. It also seemed pretty simple and she would have her own room, which was nice and affordable too. They have gardening, music activities, and other things that they have on their calendar. I only met the staff once, but they were very approachable.

We went to Pacifica Senior Living Woodmont. They were very helpful. It was an older building, but they seemed very genuine in trying to assist us and moving there. But it was just the resources that were given for VA, when I called, they were requesting a huge amount of money. I think people should be aware that they were requesting fifteen hundred dollars to complete the application that I'm a veteran, and that I'm already approved for. But for them to do the application, they were charging us fifteen hundred dollars. So that's something that they need to be aware of when they're referring people out to the VA.
They have studios and one-bedrooms, and they were older units. The courtyard was very nice. Everything seemed very clean and sanitized. They offered us lunch while we were there and it was very well plated so we appreciate that. It just seemed like they were very warm and very kind people, you know, they want to assist our seniors, but it's just the pricing. The pricing was very high, and they said that they were the lowest in this area.

My mom moved into Pacifica Senior Living Woodmont a month and a half ago. It's OK; it's good. They seem really caring. They check on her several times at night. They help her with the eating, and we have hospice come in to help with the bathing. They keep the room clean. They do her laundry, and they are gentle with her. They know her limits, and they work on it. The place is clean. It doesn't smell like the last place we were in (even her room smells good). They prepare finger foods for her, like sandwiches and cut them up or french toast sticks; they're real good about that. They sent me a picture the other day of her patting at a balloon, and she just had the biggest grin on her face.

Our uncle was in Pacifica Senior Living Woodmont. He transitioned into a locked unit there, which was like in between assisted living and memory care that they have on the third floor, and they didn't know how to do it. Nothing was great at all about the food. They need to improve on that, as well as the quality of nursing care they have. When we left, we had the head nurse count all his medications; she said there were about 55 of each left. The memory pills he took for his Alzheimer's was about 117, while the other ones he had were at least 20 or 30 extra pills, which tells me that he was not even being given the medications at all. We also found a cup of pills that were taken on his night stand. We paid extra money to make sure that his medication was given and that he took it. There's rules right in the contract that you have to watch him take his medication and they're not to give it to him so he won't leave it on his nightstand, or worse, not take it.
They had some activities, like little games that they did with them, and puzzles, Most of the staff were good too. They usually brought him down to their little activity room downstairs with a plastic shield between us, and that's how we were able to visit him. The director told us that the door was gonna be fixed, and when we went to move him to another place, the door had still not been fixed yet.
They do not do what they are paid to do. They wanted to bump up our uncle's level of care so that they could do more checks on him. The checks that they were supposed to do were already three times a day at mealtimes, every change in shift time, which was twice a day, and when they would leave. All in all, he should have been checked on six times a day. However, our uncle unknowingly left the facility. They did not check on him when it was shift change and they did not check on him when it was time for his dinner. They did not realize that he was gone, and so the police officer brought him back in the front door three hours later. I would not recommend anybody to go to Pacifica Senior Living Woodmont.

I like Pacifica Senior Living Woodmont. It was a weekend, and the residents were watching a movie. I just wanted a little bit more physical activity. The apartment seemed nice and roomy. The dining area was basically like a small kitchenette, and I was expecting more of a kitchen. They offer memory care therapy and outings. It's an older facility. The floors were sticky, but there's new paint on the walls.

Pacifica is not going to work for my dad now. However, it is a very nice place, and the sizes of the rooms are good. I would recommend it to other people. They seem to have a very good community. Pacifica Senior Living Woodmont was a good place, but it wasn't for my dad. However, they have the ones that have dementia upstairs. I wouldn't have the patients that has dementia upstairs; I would have them downstairs. The staff members were very good. They also had a nice dining area.
