When my mother moved into The Lakeshore, she found the community to be a vibrant and entertaining place. She appreciated how friendly everyone was where you could always count on your neighbors for an interesting conversation or new adventure!

Extremely concerned about residents. Thoughtful and caring treatment of residents. Encouraging and Supportive.

The Lakeshore does a wonderful job of building a sense of community for its residents. The staff promotes positive relationships with their friendliness, variety of group activities, and support for residents.

Find out for sure what services the "wellness clinic" offer. Make sure the department directors are doing their jobs. It seems to be getting more like a "nursing home" rather than adult living community. Dining room supervision is almost non existent. Anyone in continent should have to eat in their room.
All employees, except for a few, are extremely helpful and friendly.

I like, and greatly appreciate, the friendliness and kindness of the entire Lakeshore staff. They do a wonderful job, and it's really they that makes Lakeshore so attractive to/for me. The large turnover is very regretful, but I suppose there are better paying jobs elsewhere -- after the staff learns how to do their jobs here.
Unfortunately, after Rose Lata left as the Head Chef, the food quality has plunged from fairly good, to very bad. Is it not possible to hire a GOOD cook without raising our already-high rent?

My sister is a resident at the Lakeshore. She is very happy here and has been a resident for the past month. The staff has been so kind and helpful to her in adjusting to a smaller place. There is no request that they have not tried to help her with including arranging her furniture and helping set up her computer. She enjoys the food. She hasn't had a lot of time to participate in many activities but there are a lot of options. I would certainly recommend the Lakeshore as an excellent option to consider for your relative for independent/assisted living.

My in-laws moved into The Lakeshore. The facility was nice and updated. It was a nice place and had a nice view of the lake. The staff was very nice, informative, and spent a lot of time with us. They gave us lunch, and it was very good. They had church services that they did on Sundays. They had some bingo and poker. They go on outings. The room was bright and homey. They got a smaller one-bedroom apartment but plenty of room for the two of them. It seemed pretty affordable for what you were going to get.
My Mom's the Best Mom
My Mom lived here just before she passed away. She loved the place. I took her to 4 or 5 in the area and the minute she walked into the community lobby, she was greeted by just about everyone and we found the room she wanted right away but had to wait a few weeks to get into it. As we were walking out, she looked at me and said "this is the place".
She spent the last few years she had left before she passed way at 92. It was the best thing for me that she had the happiest moment of her life there. When she went to the hospital and was told she couldn't come back because she needed hospice care, she lost all her joy that she couldn't return and she passed away just a few months after she wasn't able to recover enough to come back.
I was so happy that we were able to be at a place she loved and enjoyed and made her new friends. It wasn't as convenient for me in location than the other places I took her to, but it was more important for me for her to be happy the last days of her life.

I'm going to The Lakeshore. It was wonderful. I was there for a whole week as a guest. The staff was wonderful. They were incredible. The food was fabulous. They have a counselor on duty, a wellness clinic, activities, current events, exercise, and people who come in all the time. It's wonderful. I have participated in their activities, and this is where I'm moving.

Mom loves it here. The staff are warm and friendly, the facility is beautiful inside and out, and the rose garden and pea patch provide lovely places to either garden or sit and watch. Mom loves the extracurricular activities that rotate regularly - special trips, drives to various parts of the surrounding country side, and shopping. She has made tons of new friends, enjoys the food (wishes there was more beef) and the camaraderie. She loves the lake, the Eagle Tree and the laundry room right outside her door. There are book clubs, puzzles, card games, movies, group exercises, you name it. I couldn't be happier with the facility and it's effect on my Mom's mental health. She is HAPPY there!

When my mother was at The Lakeshore, she had a small kitchenette that had a stovetop and an oven and a refrigerator, but it was very costly for her to be there. It's a beautiful place located on the Lake Washington. The facility was phenomenal. The food was good, and the people were very helpful. They had an accessible bus. The only problem was it wasn't close to a grocery store, but they will take you there. They weren't close to a lot of stuff, but it's right by the airport.

We had a tour at The Lakeshore, and the place was nice. Coming in was very warm, and the staff who assisted us was great. They had a view of the lake for eating which was nice. The rooms did not have the amenities my mother-in-law wanted which was washer and dryer in the room. But basically the real problem was the location. It was off a busy road. It was next to a trailer park on one side and an airport on the other. It does not feel that she can be able to walk which she likes to do a lot.

At Lakeshore, I looked over the building, the room sizes, their dining and recreation areas, and the price. I went into some of the rooms and up the halls, then talked to people. Lakeshore would be at the top of the list as far as what’s there and so on, but at the same time, it’s more expensive than all of the others.

We saw The Lakeshore for my mom. I actually loved this one and thought it was fabulous. I liked that the community had a very warm, friendly atmosphere and a fabulous dining room. The food was good. It was on the water, which was very nice. The people who work there were very nice, and the people who live there seemed to be friendly. I didn’t see too many activities going on at the time, but everyone we encountered was very friendly.

I liked The Lakeshore, I liked a lot of the programs that they have. They've got unusual things going on in there. It was very clean. I just liked everything about it. The location is really good. It was a very nice, well-run place. The people who worked there were very professional, very top-notch. They were my number one choice.

My father was a resident at the Lakeshore for over seven years. From his third story apartment, he could see north up the lake to Bellevue. He loved his view. He also loved his pea patch garden. He went on many of the bus trips with his friends to outside lunches, scenic trips, the casino, or to an old five and dime store. Evening dinner was very special. He and his friends had their own table for eight. The Lakeshore is a beautiful complex, located on the southern tip of Lake Washington. Being on the end of the runway at Renton field, there is always activity going on to watch. The Lakeshore also has many activities for their residents. My dad even belonged to a Wii bowling league and attended mass on Sunday afternoons in the rec. room. The staff is professional and caring. The dining room is beautiful and the food and service is as if you were in a nice restaurant. I ate there regularly and we hosted several family functions in their private dining room. It is a great place to live.

My parents have been residents of The Lakeshore a little over a year now. The 24 hr nursing staff along with a very warm professional atmosphere, made the move to The Lakeshore a little bit easier for my parents and siblings. Upon entering the front doors, you are warmly greeted by a staff member and many residents socializing or just hanging out.
Residents dine overlooking beautiful Lake Washington tended by a warm, professional staff, and a healthy tasty menu.
There are many events and outings scheduled every week, month...there is something for everyone.
The facility inside and out is always beautifully maintained and the residents are in a safe environment.
Thank-you for caring!

The Lakeshore is wonderful. It’s very homey, very nice and I have a small but comfortable room. I’m still getting oriented to the place and I do my thing around here. Cleanliness is light housekeeping once a week and they make the bed. They have bingo and Wii bowling activities. Food is boring because there’s a lot of chicken. I hope they add steak to the menu. The staff is wonderful, caring and appreciative.
