Anchor Bay at East Providence was very clean, very well-kept, and very well-maintained. They seemed to have good activities and medical programs. The staff who assisted me was very pleasant and knew all the people there, it was a very good, positive environment. I thought that the upkeep was excellent, and it's in close proximity to other amenities.

Anchor Bay at East Providence was fine, although I didn't care for it as much, it looked like a lovely place. I liked that it seemed like a manageable size. The people seemed very caring there and I think my friend would get the help that she needs. I was a little bit turned off about the cleanliness in a couple of rooms; I wasn't overly impressed, though it could have just been a bad day. The laundry room was kind of littered with paper all on the floor. Someone was doing the laundry, I was a little bit surprised at that. I believe that the ratio of caretakers to residents wasn't as high as the other place that we looked at. I'm not saying it wasn't workable, but it just wasn't as good as the other place we saw. But overall, it would probably work fine for my friend, but it just wasn't right up there on the top of my list. I kind of thought that the staff who gave the tour was a little indiscrete with the information that we gave her, she talked about that to someone else which made me a little uncomfortable. Other than that, she was excellent, seemed to have a lot of energy, and was very knowledgeable about the place. We were brought into the dining area and the person who runs that was very nice, and let us know that she certainly would try to accommodate the needs of our friend if she were to go there. So we were impressed with that. There were some scratches in the hallway and some dents in the wall; not a lot, just little things. There was one chair that had a stain, not overly bad, but it just was not top of the heap in my mind.
