Courtyard at Mt. Tabor was a nice place, but there's no connection there whatsoever. It felt like a nice facility with a bunch of old people, so it didn't feel very dynamic. It felt institutional in a nice way. It was a pretty quick tour. The dining area looked nice and clean, but I did not taste the food. I don't remember seeing any activity, but they gave me a calendar of activities. I communicated with two staff (the person who gave me the tour and the person at the front desk) and they're polite, but there's no connection. I haven't thought about that place very much since I left. I expected more. I just think that their sales approach is not very personal. I didn't get a sense of the residents being engaged there during my visit.

Courtyard at Mt. Tabor had called and left me a message about the change in my appointment schedule. Unfortunately, I did not get it before I went there, but they accommodated me when I showed up. The place was beautiful. The units were spacious with a full kitchen in them (a full refrigerator, four burner stoves, and a dishwasher.) Some of them weren't updated, but they were working on it. I liked that they have a more open meal schedule and that there's a part of the kitchen that's open the majority of the day so that residents can eat a little more freely. The facilities and the activities were beautiful. It was on an 8-acre campus. There was a group of people playing bingo while we were there. They also have movies, beach trips, bowling, and scenic tours. Unfortunately, the driving distance is a little bit farther for me.

Courtyard at Mount Tabor is excellent. It had a very nice facility and good spacious little apartments. They seemed to have a wonderful activities program, and I found it a very agreeable place and lots of reasons for recommendation. They had a nice, spacious dining room. They also had some other smaller spaces where people could gather for coffee like a coffee bar type place. They had a good exercise program. They had regular movies throughout the week in an area that functions both as a theater and as a chapel on Sundays. They also have a memory care unit that they've added. It's a really good choice for somebody in Portland. Most of the people there were independent. They had meals provided and they had housekeeping. They have an assisted living area where they showed a building that was separate. I like it. I thought it was a good, strong, well-run, and very agreeable setting. I met one of the women who had passed her 100th birthday sitting in the lobby and greeting people, and I saw lots of people moving about. It just seemed like it was well-run and well-staffed. They had a pathway that walked around the whole building. I think if you walk it twice or something, you could walk a mile, so they had laid out a course. They had a garden area that was in the center of the building complex, and they had an area with raised garden beds so people could garden themselves. I thought that was a cool idea. I only met the person that gave us the tour. He's very experienced, and he's been there 12 years. He had a great personality. The courtesy was everything that you would hope for. I found it a nice interaction.

I went to look at Courtyard at Mt. Tabor. I like the location. It's at the corner of a city park. The facility is modern and clean. There are apartments with balconies. It just feels like it's not resident direct. It's more a top-down activity director type of thing. They have movies and crafts. They have a library. I toured two or three apartments. They keep the facility in good shape.

I went to see the Courtyard at Mt. Tabor's independent living. They also have assisted living and memory care. I was really impressed with the tour. The food looked like it was more upscale than in other places I've visited. I was not able to taste it yet, but I've looked at the menu. They also give you the option of being able to go and stay there as a guest, which I'm planning on doing probably during the winter. The facility is in good shape. It was very attractive with lots of trees. I was also really impressed with the staff, their check-in system, and stuff like that. We sat in the dining room with the general manager and talked quite extensively before we went on the tour. I saw their activity schedule, and they have plenty of stuff to do.

Mom actually lives in the independent living at the Courtyard at Mt. Tabor. She has been there a couple of years now. She is in a very nice room. They have housecleaning. Other than that, we take care of our laundry and stuff. They do offer a lot more things than what my mom is receiving. There are tons of them activities. Right now, my mom is not capable of going anywhere; she has not been involved in activities.

The staff at Courtyard at Mt. Tabor were congenial and nice people. The facility is nice, clean, and has a warm décor. My mother said that the food is just average. She likes the daily activities for the older folks like the group exercise class. During the spring when it's a nice weather they would have a lot of music. I checked out a lot of places, and I think compared to other places the cost is good. I would rate them higher if the food is better.

Courtyard at Mt. Tabor is well kept and the staff has been there a long time. They were very good. If we need to go to one, this is the one we would pick. The rooms were spacious, the kitchens were being upgraded, and they had quite a few double rooms and double bathrooms. It was well laid out. We saw some of the pool tables. Each floor had libraries and they had internal, locked, individual mailboxes.

I am a resident of Courtyard, and it's good. They do a lot of trips to places to see things like the ballet, symphonies, musicians, and plays. Sometimes they go to the movies. We have sing-alongs here and they bring in musicians for those. They have a very good safety system. The staff is very nice, but they regularly move on to someplace else. They have really good food and interesting recipes, but they have service problems. You can sit there for two hours without getting a simple dinner. That is their bigger problem.

I looked at Courtyard at Mt. Tabor, but they did not allow pets. They had very nice facilities, but the room seemed small to me. They had different buildings, and you would have to travel to another building to have your meals.

I have toured Courtyard at Mt. Tabor. It was very nice, very big, and looked clean, and wa sin a nice location. The people who took us for the tour were informative and friendly. The people who lived seemed happy. We did not try the food; we just looked at the dining room, and it looked fine. It had graduated care, so you could start out with independent living, then move to assisted living without really changing residences or without moving to another facility. It was very well maintained and very nice.

The food at Courtyard was OK, but I think they could have offered more healthy choices. I was able to go to the gym there with the older ladies and do a little workout on my own, which was nice. I got to see a beautiful film in their nicely laid-out theater with velvety cushioned seats, which was also used as a church. It was a very nice place. The staff was very nice, and I had a nice conversation with them. I saw one apartment there, and it was awesome. It had a patio leading to the back. They're not big, but they had enough room one would need. I loved their theater because it was like a real theater, and you felt like you were really at the movies; that was really fun. I liked the gym; it was very nice.

This is just an average facility. It had independent living, assisted living, and memory care. The staff seemed competent. It's a courtyard, and it's on a busy street in a residential area with a park close by. Their food was typical just like many of the others, nothing special. To me, Courtyard at Mt. Tabor just seemed like a middle of the road independent living facility. Their ambience was adequate, nothing special. The dining area was fine. It seemed to be a well-run typical courtyard facility.
