We went to Bell Trace Senior Living. My grandmother is going to the independent area, but we toured the assisted area, too. We did the first tour virtually. Then, we did a second tour this Friday and my grandma liked how many activities and involvement they have. They go to a lot of places and they have a transportation system set up there. It's got a lot of resources. The rooms were nice, and the bathrooms were huge. About the entertainment side, my grandma said something about it being hard for her to be bored when she was living there. It was very clean. I didn't see anything that looked questionable. They had a separate area for breakfast. Their dining area was smaller, but it looked nice and spaced out well. They have a patio outside with a gazebo and a couple of flower beds. They had activities going on outside one of the times we visited. They had some kind of thing where the staff was outside with smores. There are parking lots outside for most of the building, but they still use that space to do activities and stuff with the people there.

The thing I liked about Bell Trace Senior Living was that the apartments were gorgeous. They had a lot more activities than the other places I visited too, which would have been nice. The one thing I didn't like about it was it was huge. I would be afraid that my mom would have been overwhelmed by its size. Other than that, it was gorgeous. If I ever had to leave this house, I think I would have chosen Belle Trace because there was so much more to do there. The people I met there were very, very nice. They had a wonderful exercise room and they had an exercise class that was going on at the time. They were also setting up for bingo. They go to all of IU auditorium's scheduled programming, which would be really, really nice for me but not so much for my mom. It was nice that they had a bus that went there for every program so that you could pick or choose what you wanted to go to. It was just another nice thing to do there. They had a nice bus system and they went on drives. They have a lot more activities, which I would have enjoyed.

My mother has lived at Bell Trace in Independent living for 2 years. It has been an excellent fit for her! She loves the staff and all of the activities! Chef Phillipe is beyond amazing! We love that the menu is a full, restaurant style. Daily specials are great. An added bonus is that she can have her meals delivered if she wants to dine in. I highly recommend this community.

Bell Trace is fine. The people who lived there do not rave about the food and I was not able to eat there, so I don’t know. The rooms are very nice. There are not as many balconies, but the units are well-appointed. They have activities, but not as many as the other facility.
