We visited Atria North Point. It's an older community and was more established. Kathy, their Community Sales Director, was just a wealth of information, of things that that we could look for, and the questions that we should ask if we stayed with her facility or another facility. She invited us back for lunch or dinner, come and visit and this and that. We went and saw the rooms there. We did the walk around the independent living. One of the nice things was, that they had covered parking. It's like we're coming from a home, and we have a garage. They had covered parking on the wing that you would be if you stayed in the main where the apartments were. They also had two-bedroom villas. They had a wealth of facilities in both facilities.
My husband is a veteran, so that is another plus, that they said that veteran amenities would be available, and that he could get services for that. Kathy was above and beyond for information because this was our first time, and she was just right on the ball.
They had this sweetest little old lady. I'm 75, and this girl, I think she's 89 or in her nineties. She is on the welcoming committee. She just came right into our meeting and had her jewel, necklace, and her dangly earrings and makeup on, and she explained why we should be there. Honest to God, it made your whole day. I mean, if you didn't go out of there smiling, it was your own fault because she wanted to make sure that this was the place to be. It was like, "Oh, my goodness, how sweet." It was just very nice. We were greeted when we came in, and our name was on a placard, and we were welcomed; Kathy is a top-notch salesperson.
It was lovely; if we move there, I wouldn't have hesitation if that's where we settled.

Atria North Point was an all-encompassing services type community. It was clean, very well situated, and all about promoting active living for their residents.
We went to their little model apartment, then we saw the common areas, the fitness center, the pool, the arts and crafts section, and the restaurant. We also saw an available apartment. Then there was a den where it had a pool table and a Ping-Pong area.
I like the emergency pull cord that was located throughout the apartment. There were check-in buttons too, as long as they walked in, all the residents had to check in. I think it was all very well equipped.
The staff, Emily, was outstanding. She's very thorough, had a lot of information, and I felt like she listened to my needs and gave all the answers appropriately.
The facility was 14 or 16 years old, and they're in the process of renovating it but the carpet made it look a little dated.

I decided to tour this community because of the location and grounds. There are so many mature trees and plenty of walking paths. I met with one of the sales folks who who later showed me around. She seemed to genuinely want learn about my parents and offered resources for the challenges we are facing with getting them into a safe environment. The rooms are large and seem reasonably priced. One thing to point out is that the hallways are long! Along the way we met a couple of residents; the place was alive as you did see folks sitting and chatting throughout the different sitting areas. I plan to look at a couple more, but I do plan on bringing my folks back to see it.

My mother loves living at Atria. The staff is wonderful, helpful, friendly and truly cares for residents like family. The activities keep my Mom active, the restaurant keeps her social and I feel confident that she is in good hands and safe at Atria!

Atria North Point looks fine, but the rooms are very small. It wouldn't fit all my furniture. The staff member who accommodated me was very nice. The dining area is OK. The place is very nice and clean. It looks wonderful. They have an indoor pool and a library. They have everything. However, the rooms are very small and expensive. They need to have bigger rooms or they need to lower their price. I'm not interested because my furniture wouldn't fit in their room.

My mother loves everything about Atria North Point. She loves the overall atmosphere, all the help, and the kind people. The food is great, and the service is great. She's very comfortable in her room. It has bright and big windows, which really makes her happy because she can see out. She's going to exercises, and they're starting up a knitting club. The staff has all been very great.

I'm going to be moving to Atria North Point and I'm going into the independent living. I visited them three times and I liked what I saw, from the people to the food. I liked it. It was very neat and tidy. Everybody was friendly and I didn't meet a person who didnt say hello. The food was very good. They offer all sorts of activities and you can join almost any group you want. They play cards, read books, swim, and do all sorts of things. Everybody was wonderful. Miss Emily was the best of all. They call her the fun lady. The facilities are wonderful. I secured a very nice 1-bedroom apartment and I'm looking forward to it. I didn't find the place difficult to find and the people I talked to who are living there all seemed very happy.

Atria North Point was fabulous. The food was superb. The men that served us were like butlers. It's older, but it's very nice. You can eat either lunch or dinner, your choice. It was the best food that we've tasted at any place. They have a swimming pool. We would have liked a one-bedroom apartment, but that would be too small for us. The pool, the downstairs, and the weight room were older. It wasn't on par with some of the newer facilities, but the staff was superb.

Atria North Point was a very pleasant place, and the people were friendly. It was clean, modern looking, and the apartment was freshly painted. The 1-bedroom apartment only had one sink in the bathroom. They had an exercise area, a library, a card room, and an indoor swimming pool.

In the next couple of days, we are going to sign a contract with Atria North Point. It's two miles from my house. There were lots of choices of apartments. There was a room that we liked so much, my husband was like, "Maybe we should move in here!" It had the most fantastic balcony overlooking the woods. It was gorgeous. There were lots of activities. We had lunch there, and the food quality was excellent. The people were lovely. The hospitality was very good.

Somerby is a pretty place. My mother lived there for two and a half to three years. It was a pretty big place, and she has several friends there. They have different card games in the evening, Bingo, and bus rides. She was happy there, but she needed assisted living so she moved. The staff was friendly, and I didn’t have any trouble. She seemed happy with the food.
